Hello, I am on day 9 and have so far lost 8lbs, since Saturday I haven’t lost anymore weight and have in fact gained 2lbs. I have stuck to the diet, have drank about 3 litres a day and have no idea why im gaining and not losing any weight, any ideas?

Hi - I know it's not nice, but I wouldn't worry too much. It may be just water retention.

When I stall it is normally because I've been drinking diet coke/coke zero, have had milk in my tea or haven't drank enough water.

You might want to try upping your water intake. Are you getting 20 mins a day exercise? Are you on 3 or 4 mealpacks a day?

Thank you for your reply.

I am having 3 packs a day, i have my first pack at 4pm, the another one at 7 then one at 9, however this week i have changed to morning, afternoon & evening to see if that will help and it hasnt!. I am drinking about 3 litres of water aday, some times more and i havent had any caffine or tea. I also do 45 mins on the wii weveryday and walk home which is about 3 miles...so im not sure what im doing wrong.

Hi GoGetter...i'm on day 11 now and lost 7lbs...my weight loss has stopped too...what did you do to restart things?

Hello Moomie, I dont know what to do to restart things, im hoping someone on here will have an answer for us. Maybe having a day of and then restarting may work... but i really dont want to eat but i am feeling unmotivated.

Hi, oh poor you, don't give up!! That definitely won't work. It is early days, your body is adjusting. Having your packes earlier is I'm sure a good thing to keep your meatabolism ticking over as well as feeding your body more regularly. You have lost a significant amount of weight in a short time, remind yourself of that indisputable fact. It is working. Trust the process and stick with it. Consistency is the key. Don't weigh yourself so often if it is disheartening, trust the process and stick with it. Just keep saying that to yourself, retrain your brain [ I don't have one but I hear it helps] Your old habits and carb lust will want to pull you back onto the high sugar roller coaster to fat and flabby hell, give it a miss. Decline the ride and be good to yourself, give yourself time to change. What's the worst that can happen???? Food will always be there, it's not going to disappear from the supermarket shelves cos you aren't eating it for a while. Remember why you started this, what were your reasons? Write them down and focus on how you will feel when you get to goal and reassure yourself that this is what you want, you deserve to be happy and healthy. Eating will not help it will sabotage all your hard work so far. So you can eat if you want, as much or as little whatever you choose. But??? is that what you want??? Decide what you want, take control of your mind, decide on your plan and see it through.Try not to see it as deprivation, your packs are medicine of health and happiness, a magic potion of success and feeling great, mix them up in a nice cup, take your time with them, enjoy them and congratulate yourself for doing this, it's not easy, but you are giving yourself a gift, you are on the journey to achieving something that will make you very happy. I sometimes don't lose around my period , I have learnt [ kicking and screaming] to accept this, stick with it, keep going, and bingo ! a week or so later I lose weight again. It does work, don't doubt it. Give it another week and you will be feeling the love again !!!!

One thing I learned during my 3 months on Lipotrim is NOT to weigh more than once a week, I did a few times and it looked like I hadnt lost so really struggled to stay on it, then on weigh day I would have lost and was happy again, I also had weeks i would only loose a 1 lb and then the next id loose 7, just dont give up and try only to weigh once a week good luck :)

Is there any chance you are constipated or about to have a period?

If not...still persist with the diet plan...it will work!

Also my sister (who did the very similar Cambridge Diet) wouldn't lose anything for a few days and all of a sudden the next morning she dropped 5lbs off the scales.

let your body settle down and give it five or six before you decide if it is for you or not.

Good luck Lottie x x x x

Thank you all for your inspirational words im glad you’re all here, I am determined to stick at the diet and your right I think I might have got a little obsessed weighing my self…which isn’t helping. I am now only going to weigh my self once a week so I don’t get too upset if the scales aren’t moving.
I’ll keep you all posted

Thank You xxx

Thank you guys,
great to know others are experiencing or have experienced the same thing in the past...
off to walk the dogs!
goodluck all xx

Hi GG, well done on your loss so far, you are doing very well, just keep going you are on the right track, it can get hard sometimes and its really a day at a time. There are times when the scales will not move but you would have lost inches, so when I weigh myself once a week I also take my measurements and use that as well. So if I don't see a big loss on the scales, I can see the inches going off.

However one thing I note from what you have stated is that you don't (sometimes) have the 1st shake till 4pm. Wow, that is late, the reason I believe thats late is that your body with no food till 4pm will have or have started to go into starvation mode and will hold on to whatever it can, which even though you have the rest of the packs in the day, will slow your weight loss. Also you need to train your body and mind into having that breakfast lunch and dinner shake meal so that when you get off the diet your body will be aware of when it should and should not demand for food.

If you are concentrating your shakes in the evening because thats when you get hungry, why don't you split your shakes, so you have six shakes through out the day and not just all in the evening. You really need to have something morning and lunch time, even if you do not feel hungry.

Goodluck
