Ok so bars are 1 a day but why?

I know the bars are 1 a day but I can't remember why, can anyone remind me?
 
Ah that's it, I was thinking calories but they're the same practically. A friend asked and I couldn't remember, thanks!
 
Yep, the bars have a higher carb content. Where the other packs are lower and designed to keep you in mild ketosis, carb sensitive people may find that even one bar affects their ketosis, which is why they aren't allowed at all in the first two weeks, but any more than that and it's almost guaranteed you'll come out of it. Thats what I was told by a CDC in the past.

It's odd, but I have had days where I have felt the urge to chew and had 2 bars (1 time I had 3 - never again!) I was very windy, and ended up telling my boss I had a migrane coming on and going home, because I seriously could not control my wind :eek: It was awful. I have never forgot that - I didn't sleep all that night (and HB ventured into spare room!) because my stomach was going COMPLETELY crazy. It wasn't painful, just very loud and annoying!

I only buy 2 bars a week now so I can't be tempted!!!

You must be fairly carb sensitive then Emma, from the sounds of it anyway. How are you finding the bars now? I know you said that you had a weigh in that wasn't as good as you expected and you thought it was due to the bars. Have you had them and a weigh in since?
 
I have stopped the bars actually - I bought one this week and had it on Friday night (my treat!) I weighed on wii fit this morn and it's showing a loss of 5lbs already (wi sunday) so I am defo carb sensitive. My CDC has even said she hasn't known anyone to be so sensitive like me to the bars! If I'm honest I gave it a go and became happy in my routine (before crimbo) of 1 bar a week, but thought i'd try it again with 1 a day - a 1lb loss just shows that it really must be the carbs in the bars for me - which is fine, i'll cope with 1 a week. I am enjoying the choc and banana mix that someone on here gave me the idea for - it's my new fave :D
 
Definitely sounds that way then, whereas I can have 1 a day no problem. I'll even admit to having 3 in a day once and didn't really effect me. Never ceases to amaze me how different people can be with things. If you're happy with 1 bar a week then that's good. A 5lb loss so far is fab! My week is up on Friday and I can't wait to weigh in then. I do kind of wish that I hadn't been weighing myself every day. I remember that first weigh in I had and the amazing feeling I had when I found out I lost 11lbs in a week, seeing it all in one go, was very surprised! Though to be honest I'll be happy with any loss that's a loss, I just know kind of what to expect. Does that make any sense?!
