This time I will get there

I hope you don't mind if I use this thread as me saying goodbye to the old me and welcoming in the new.. I just wanted to share abit of my story with any newbies returners or old timers a year ago this week I was full of excitement as I was turning 40 (mad I know) I had a party of my dreams, a fab dress etc.. the photo's came back and I was mortified.. I looked bloated and fat.. I could not understand why even faced with a party I could not get my act together.

The following week I joined cd, full of hope.. it was going to be my year so off I went, I found it so hard but I stuck to it. Without warning I became ill and had to take six months off work, the year passed me by.. I wasn't able to go out very much and I turned to my best mate FOOD.. after all it's always there and makes me feel better, well at least for abit.
The worse thing that could happen to me with my illness is to get another virus.. so lady luck missed me again and I went down with another virus in December.. so why am I bothering to ramble on.. well I'm back on my feet again, at work and plodding along.. but the weight is too much to bare.. I'm resetting my ticker, I've made the call to my cdc and I'm seeing her very soon.. as for tomorrow, well I turn 41 and this time I will get there and I hope to share the high's and lows of this journery.. if your still with me, thanks for reading.. somehow writing it down makes it more real

Now I know why I love this forum thank you all so very much ! and thanks for the Birthday wishes.. had a really nice day.. had a chat with my Mum and she knows that tomorrow is D Day after todays B Day have enough packs to see me through tomorrow and then I have my cd appt on Friday.. so here's to the first week back on the cd wagon ..
