...we're actually going to apply to emigrate to Australia! We've spent the afternoon printing out all the forms we need and have put them in our 'Australia folder' and I'm going to start a blog of our experience of emigrating to Oz from the UK! It can take up to three years so I'll be here for a while yet!! xxx

Good luck if you need any advice you only have to ask I spent 2 years filling in paperwork to get our PR visas.

We are back in the uk for a little while, we normally live in Cairns, I miss it very much

Thank you all for your warm wishes and Soccermom I may just take you up on your offer!! We spent 12 months back-packing and working over there and just loved it - it totally suits us so we're going to go for it! xxx

Thanks guys - Cougar we'd like to be there in 2013 - I know it seems a long way off but the process can take a while and we've got things we want/need to do here first (getting married in Italy for one thing!), it also means we can save some more pennies too! If once we start the ball rolling (lots and lots of forms to read first) we get granted sooner then we'll have a re-think on the UK based plans!! xxx
