Centre Parcs

I had a mid-week break at Centre Parcs in Suffolk last week with Mrs Brad and the two little Brads.

I have to say, I was a reluctant participant as I wanted to go abroad, but didn't get my way. However, within minutes of being in the place I was hooked.

I have written Centre Parcs off for years as a Hi-De-Hi place, something I couldn't stand as a kid. What a plonker I was, it is an adventure park to suit everyone.

The events, activities, spa programmes and swimming opportunities would suit almost everybody. At the end, I wondered where the time had gone - a sign of a good break.

I have very much become a pamper and spa addict. I'm not sure how this keeps with my hard man Essex boy image I have worked so hard to build up. But when a man has to exfoliate, I get it is mitts on time.

My only criticism was it is a bit pricey. The 'Villa' , although most would think it a cabin was a basic 2 bedroomed affair which cost £670 for 4 nights. Mrs Brad managed to book up another couple of hundred quid of activities, although these were very much optional. The swimming pool complex is free, pretty much everthing else attracts a cost.

However, in summary, even though a bit pricey, I believe it was money well spent. The Brad's had a nice active break (a year ago that would have been a nightmare holiday for me) and all my eldest boy keeps asking is when we can go back. So it gets a thumbs up from me and I recommend it for your consideration if you are looking for ideas.

Well I totally agree, it is a wonderful place.
I have been about ten times, but now that we are not allowed to take the children out of school during term time, we cant afford to go.
We went to Majorca in October half term break, which was a lot cheaper than we could have gone to Center Parcs for, which is such a shame because we all love Center Parcs.
