Don't quit!

I don't know if any of you have seen this poem before but it's very motvational for me!

When you've eaten too much and you can't write it down,
And you feel like the biggest failure in town.
When you want to give up just because you gave in,
and forget all about being healthy and thin.
So What! You went over your syns a bit,
It's your next move that counts...So don't you quit!
It's a moment of truth, it's an attitude change.
It's learning the skills to get back in your range.
It's telling yourself, "You've done great up till now.
You can take on this challenge and beat it somehow."
It's part of your journey toward reaching your goal.
You're still gonna make it, just stay in control.
To stumble and fall is not a disgrace,
if you summon the will to get back in the race.
But, often the strugglers, when losing their grip,
Just throw in the towel and continue to slip.
And learn too late when the damage is done,
that the race wasn't over...they still could have won.
Lifestyle change can be awkward and slow,
but facing each challenge will help you grow.
Success is failure turned inside out,
the silver tint in a cloud of doubt.
When you're pushing to the brink, just refuse to submit,
If you bite it, you write it....But don't you quit!

Awesome poem! :)

It's great isn't it. I've just got a notebook where I'm doing my month by month aims and achievements style thing with all my diaries in between and I've written it at the front to keep me motivated and on track :) I dont think I've ever felt so determined and positive! 2010 is MY year!

Fab poem! Very appropriate for me at the moment too as I've unceremoniously fallen off the wagon big time! Back on track tomorrow though!!!!
Thanks for posting it!

I absolutely love that poem. I think I will also take it to class on Tuesday. I am alo going to print it out, put it in my purse and on teh freezer door.

Excellent.

Thanks so much. It has taken me such a long time to come to this realisation but the crux of the poem is so true.

I have always wanted to be one of those people who takes the motorway to success so get really annoyed when I don't lose as quickly as I want to. But, I found an old SW book from 2005 and thought if I had stuck at it no matter what at this stage I would have lost all of the weight and then some :D.

My resolution is simply to stick to the diet whether I lose or not, whether I gain or only lose one pound per week. Because one pound per week is 52 pounds in a year; more than I need to lose. I know I will regret it if in 2015 I look back at another 5 years in which I didn't achieve my weight loss dreams

Great attitude sevenate9, and good luck with your journey this year. I think I might copy you and stick it on the fridge door, then everytime I go to grab something non sw friendly it'll make me stop and think! x
