anyone got any nice pork or turkey recipes?

i am completly useless, so used to buying packet or jars (im bad arnt i) so this year am determined to start cooking from scratch but dont know where to start, i have such a big spice rack but dont know what spice goes with what!!!
 
Last night we had a nice turkey curry -

spray fry pan and cook onions and peppers. Add curry paste of choice from jar (about 3 sins - but is nicer than curry powder) 'fry for a few minutes to cook spices then add turkey (or any meat or fish) - if already cooked simmer for about 30 minutes - if raw simmer until cooked. We had it with the Allo mutter recipe from the Green recipe book and mint yogurt (fat free natural yogurt with dried mint and/or mint sauce added)

Tasty! We cooked extra and have a few curry 'take aways' in the freezer now!!
 
Try this

Easy Pork Chops

1 1/2syns per portion

4 pork loin chops (fat removed)
1/4 pint beef gravy made with granules
420g can of chopped tomatoes
1 tablespoon smoked paprika

Dry fry the pork until sealed and transfer into a slow cooker (ok in oven I guess)
Make up the gravy and stir in the canned tomatoes and smoked paprika, pour over chops and cook for 4/5 hours until tender.
Serve with green beans and carrots.
 
I have a nice Ginger spiced pork recipe which I bung in the slow cooker:

Ginger Spiced Pork

Black Pepper
680 Grams Casserole Pork

Sauce:
1oz Flour (5 syns)
1 Level Teaspoon Ground Ginger
¼ Teaspoon Tabasco Sauce
1 tin chopped tomatoes
4 oz Button Mushrooms
1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
2 Tablespoons Splenda Brown Sugar (2 syns)
2 Tablespoons Vinegar
2 Cloves Garlic
1 Bay leaf

Method:

Lightly Brown pork in a pan & season well.

Mix all the other ingredients except mushrooms in a separate pan & heat through until simmering, pour everything into a slow cooker,add the pork & mushrooms, cook on low for 8 -10 hours


Serves 4

Total Syns 7 allow 2 syns per serving
 
The SW mag has some great recipes which are easy to follow and usually pretty tasty.
