Mumtobeans food diary (Does this sound ok?)

My names Rachel :wave_cry:, I'm 31 and i've tried all sorts of diets over the years but nothing has really stuck for me (apart from the weight!!!!!) Ok so here we go then...........New Year, new me. Any advice greatly received.

Sunday 3rd Jan - Green Day (day 1:D)

Breakfast - 1/2 grapefruit, tsp sugar (1 syn) Quorn sausages, scrambled eggs, beans, quorn bacon. 2 slices 400g brown bread (hexb) 2 tsp low fat spread (2 syns)

Lunch - Chicken noodle mugshot. kiwi fruit, apple, strawberries, grapes all covered with a vanilla muller light yog

Dinner - 57g gammon (hexb), sw roasties, carrots, peas, broadbeans, medium yorkshire pud (3 Syns) Bisto Gravy (2.5 syns) Muller yog

Hexa - Skimmed milk in tea through out day + 1 x babybel light.

Total Syns 8.5
 
hi there, well one for starting off your diary.. i am about to go and take the plunge too... all sounds good to me.. didnt realise that the Quorn bacon replacements were free .. i will have to give them a bash! :) Good luck with the diet plan :)

I might be wrong but I don't think the Quorn bacon slices are syn free. Someone said a few weeks ago that they were 6.5 syns for the 150g pack, so it might be worth double checking this. Several of the quorn products are free but other have a syn value and some are actually quite high, so always worthing checking before you eat them. Unfortunately I don't have the current password and so I can't do it for you.

HI, Thanks for looking it over for me. I had 2 quorn rashers.30gs worth. Put the kCals etc in online and it came back free. I hope thats right cause they're nice n all but soooo not worth 6.5 syns :p

Day one almost over and i actually don't feel hungry which is odd for me on a diet!!!!
 
Monday 4th January - Green day

Snacks - Cucumber sticks, cherry toms

Lunch - 2 slices wholemeal bread (hexb) Tbsp Low fat spread (2 syns) Sliced chicken (2 1/2 syns) Muller light. Kiwi fruit. Apple. 2 light babybels (hexa)

Snack - Apple

Tea - Quorn/bean chilli with brown rice, grapes

Total syns - 5 1/2

Tuesday 5th January - green day

Breakfast - All bran (hexb) Skimmed milk (hexa)

Snack - Cucumber sticks & cherry toms

Lunch - 2 x slices wholemeal bread (hexb), 2 x tsp low fat spread (2 syns) Chicken slices 28g (2 syns) Feel fuller yogurt, kiwi fruit, grapes, apple

Snack - noodle mugshot

Tea - Left over quorn/bean chilli, jacket potato. Mint options.

Snack - walkers french fries (4.5 syns)

Syns - 10 1/2
 
Looking good Hun. Just dont forget to vary your choises and fill up on the free fruits and veg and you are laughing!
 
Wednesday 6th January (ee day)

Breakfast - Kiwi fruit, apple, pear. Low fat yogurt

Lunch - Wetherspoons Spicy pasta (syns?)

Snack - 2 alpen light (hexb)

Tea - chicken & quark/crushed garlic wrapped in bacon. Jacket potato 42g low fat cheddar (hexa) Carrots, peas, broccoli. Fresh Pineapple chunks.

Syns total - Not sure about the wetherspoons pasta gonna say about 8 to be on the safe side.

1st weigh in tomorrow Eeck!!!!!

Thursday 7th Jan (red day)

Breakfast - 1/2 grapefruit 1tsp sugar (1syn) 42g all bran (hexb) skimmed milk (hexa)

Snack - banana

Lunch - ham salad, yogurt, apple

snack - lean bacon

Tea - undecided yet. Got my 1st weigh in 1st!!!!!!!!!
