Day One again

Scotsmist

Life is not a Rehersal!
Hi Everyone

I was on LT from May to August last year (2009) and lost almost 4 stone. Unfortunately, I have put 2 of those back on since finishing and today!!!!! Gutted or what.

So, I am back again and the forum played such a big part in my life, and still does as I have stayed around the maintenance forum a bit.

I dont want to be here again; but things are a bit different this time around and I want to nail this once and for all. Famous last words - eh!!! But, I am going to be attending an eating disorder course alongside LT so hopefully I will get to the bottom of why I eat the way I do.

My Day 1 has been ok actually. I got up late with being out last night celebrating...have had a headache most of the day though. So far I am on 2 litres of water and not sure if I will be able to drink much more...maybe another litre by the time I go to bed.

I feel very positive and just glad I nipped it in the bud before it got worse!

I wish everyone that is on LT and who has just started a very successful year!

Welcome back Iris. I'm glad your back as you were on the nicest people who used to be on here. It's good you have the willpower to do it again and that you stopped before you went too far.

Welcome back again hun

Awww..thankyou Mini that was so nice of you!!! given me a wee boost :D

This forum was a lifeline for me...I used to still come on and peek but didnt post much with not being on LT...

You are doing really well, eh!!!! Have you kept on LT during Christmas and New Year???

Your very welcome, when I first started here and I used to look on here you inspired me so much. And the things you say to people you can tell you actually mean it.

Yes (somehow) and I don't know how I have managed to keep it up since mid Novemeber without eating anything. I really don't know how but my hunger seemed to have been completely zapped, even if I like someone was to put one of my trigger foods in front of me I would not be able to eat.

I know what you mean.....I really didnt want to come off LT last year, but I wanted to refeed for 2 weeks to go on holiday.....but I honestly belive if I had stayed on LT until I got to goal I wouldnt be so bad, but then again, I have the problem with an eating disorder, which doesnt help, hence why I have bitten the bullet and enrolled on the course. I was suppose to do it last year, and was cocky with LT and thought I had got to grips with the eating..hahah......no chance!!!! Worse then ever.

You are doing so well, and dont come off until you know for definite it is the time! You will know when, but hats off to you to have stayed on over Christmas/New Year.

How long do you reckon you will still be on LT?

Welcome back and good luck. I am back for a second time. Cant believe I let myself put the weight back on but never mind its best to nip it in the bud now. I am not finding it as hard this time round and I am hoping to only be on it for a few weeks.

All the best xx

Yes I know what you mean, I think it is so easy losing the weight but hard keeping it off. When I had a mini break because of illness I put quite a bit of weight back on, although I was ill I dont think thats really an excuse.

My original goal was 11st (which the weight I was always around give or take a pound or two). I did at one point get to 10st via diet pills but was always really around 11st. I may, and I say may with caution stop at 11 stone but I think its very liklely I will continue to 10st and then begin refeed/maintaining. Thats my hope anyway and I guess that will take me to around Feb/March time?

Thanks Glammam!!! We will have to keep each other in check this time around....like you, cant believe I am back to this stage, but no point looking back....stay positive!!!! And keep people beside you that are positive too!!!!!

Good luck too.

Oh, it is.......staying on LT is actually easy in comparison to maintaining......but that is the point we need to get to though!

You will know when you are ready and if it is 10 or 11 stone....and i will be around to see you get there :D:D:D

Hi i am also back for 2nd time and i also like you lost 4st and put 2st back on grrrrr, so annoying i know! But at least we stopped at 2st, it could have been alot worse!

Hi, welcome back. Hope you have as much luck this time round.

Did you exercise much last time - I kind of feel 'energetic' but lightheaded at the same time. A strange mix!

HI Lardy
Thanks!
Glad you asked that......I didnt exercise much at all first time round and then a month before I refed I hired a vibroplate, which was brilliant! I have two allotments so I do work on them, so I thought that was enough.

Since coming off LT I have joined a health club so I will be doing LT and doing coreball, pilates, gym and yoga, so hopefully I will tone as well.

I was left with a lot of lose skin,,,not masses but I wasnt as toned as I could have been, but I got dizzy spells a lot and cramp last time around,,,which I suspect I will get again, but I will keep on with the exercise regime...

Maybe I will have bigger losses this time around as last time they werent huge.

If you feel energetic, give it a go, but just know your limits and stop when you feel a bit lightheaded...keep the water next to you as well and that will help.

Hiya

Yes, I know......shouldnt have even been 2 stone really! If I could have got my head in gear I could have jumped on this at half a stone, but I just went into denial mode!

good luck though, and hopefully the 2 st wont be too long in disappearing.

Thank you again. I have to say YOUR brilliant!!

Hiya, you have started back at a really good time, new year, new start. Draw a line under the past and just focus on whats ahead. You can do it!!. I'll look forward to sharing my jouney with u and other lipotrim folk. Just think we're all in it together.

scotsmist-Why do we do that? Go into denial? I did the same, convinced myself that i would good next week, then next week and the week after and so on. It was when i could only just squeeze myself into my jeans and get no where near my combats that i decided to admit to myself it was time to do LT again.

Lardy- i am doing walkin this time and aqua aerobics, i was told not to do any exercise last time by chemist but i am going to this time. I never seemed to have as big a weight loss as everyone else maybe that was why!?
Good luck both of you!

I've signed up for a yoga class, and am planning to walk to work a bit. It's a 3 mile walk, so should burn up some flab.

I've bought some of the Palmers Cocoa Butter - it's one for use during pregnancy and weight loss, so fingers crossed. Exercise may also help!

I think everything contributes, and exercising does help a lot, especially just getting the endorphines running around, making us happy :)

Yes, I used body lotion during LT as well, oh, and I used a body brush every morning before going into the shower and it helped with the orange peel look!!!!!

I don't think my losses have been great either, alot of the people I notice get around 5/6lbs a week! Most of the time!

I started cycling this week and I am trying to drink more than 2 litres of water today to see if that helps.

Thanks WEston

My original plan was to start next week, but it got to the point that I said "WHY WAIT",,,the inevitable was going to happen and I was just prolonging it. The sooner I started, the sooner I would be to goal..and yes, the New Year thing is so phycological (sp)!! that it just had to be today!

I look forward to the journey too and how you get on!
