Reaching for your Zen in 2010!!

DQ

Queen of the Damned
Every year I start a general thread for the Century Club. The Century Club is a place for people who started with over 100 lbs to lose. With so much weight to lose, it can feel like a long lonely journey - whether you are doing it by VLCD, low carb, calorie counting, slimming clubs or any other safe method. :hug99:

I never wait til January 1st to start this thread off simply because it's not about a New Year's resolution - it's about a lifestyle change. It's about supporting each other through this life-altering trip where each lb is a success

There are a lot of people who have made this journey successfully. And this year, you can be one of those people. I searched everywhere for the meaning of zen (had to find something to rhyme with 2010  ) and this one spoke to me the most:

"a total state of focus that incorporates a total togetherness of body and mind"

You need to focus on yourself to make it through this. You need to bring your mind to the battle as well as your body. Remember, it took time to get to where we are, so give yourself time to get to where you want to be. And remember, whatever else you do, the time will pass. So why not put some work and effort into yourself - you are worth it! :flirt2:

Reach for your ZEN in 2010 and share your journey with other Centurions! :woohoo:

What a fabulous post. Having just tonight booked flights in August for me, my man and my kids, Ill deffo be back on track this year. Not aiming for the moon just want 1/2 stone a month this time. Know im going to get there. xx

I definately want to make 2010 the year that I finally face my eating demons and lose weight once and for all - not gain and lose gain and lose......

i have at least 100lbs to go
was here this time last year saying the same thing, didn't quite make it last year have got more determination and willpower this year, so here's to 2010

You're not along TJ :hug99: Just remember, the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. Make the changes you need to make to be the success you know you can be!

Well I didn't know that:eek:
Hi DQ, nice to see you and Lisa out from behind the sofa:D
I hope to see you two again soon:p Wanna come to Norwich in Feb? Check out the meetings thread - all welcome
PS Still don't play any games on FB other than bejewelled and I blame Ice for starting me on that one - please don't hate me for ignoring your requests;)

We can all do it, with support and positive thinking, no way in such a short amount of time would I ever think I would have come so far in my goal! I tried year in and year out. Then my mental state changed, I became determined, I was READY. Good luck in 2010 all xx

Ty and yep, I totally stick by it :) You have to be ready for a life change mentally, and have the will power to stop any binges (im speaking as an experienced food lover/addict hehe).

Congratulations! Are you still using Reductil? Have toyed with that idea a couple of times but not absolutely convinced paying those prices (not available on the NHS in our PCT without lots and lots of aggro)

Yup I am still on reductil. I did use it a couple of years ago when I really didn't have the will power - it helps as a drug but you still get cravings and can eat while taking it. This time however it is working great. My hospital consultant and doctor advised me that they will keep on prescribing it for as long as it works, but before I get a new monthly prescription, I have my weight and blood pressure checked.

So how is everybody doing? I dunno about you, but I am so glad to see the back of that snow. Every mornin was stressful - which schools will be closed? Will I be able to get into work? Will I be able to get home again? And please God, don't let me fall over   I'll take the rain thanks

And difficult though it's been what with being snowbound, irritated, tired and cold I'm still working hard on making this year the 'one' for me.

I'll let you know after WI tomorrow;)

OOhhhh fingers crossed :fingerscrossed:

Brain of Britain here can't even get WI day right  WI day is MONDAY - DOH:eek:
