food doctor products

Hiya! I would count them as HEB. They are higher in calories than wholemeal bread but you could count it as HEB + syns as its got even higher fibre than SW endorsed breads. I think they're 9 syns each and an HEB serving of wholemeal bread is 6 syns so I would count it as HEB + 3 syns. You could probably also have the pitta breads as HEB + 2 syns (they're 8 syns each). I love Food doctor bread!

Thanks! Never tried them but have some at home and they look yummy..going to have it with scrambled eggs and wafer thin turkey for lunch this weekend- yum! will take your advice and count it as HE B+3 syns!

Sorry to dampen things here but unless they are listed as a HEX, you can't class them as one and have to syn the whole lot!

Its my understanding that HEB cereals and breads are based on fibre content and calories and the food doctor breads are both high in fibre and the extra calories are synned. I don't see the problem. To each their own I guess. I don't see it as a "risk" counting as HEB + syns because whether you have a wholemeal roll as HEB + something naughty for 3 syns or a multiseed muffin for 9 syns (or HEB + 3 syns) it comes to the same thing.

I agree with you, and what you say makes sense but SW would call in "tweaking" and although it isn't a "risk" it is not strictly speaking a HEXB.
