HELP ME!!!!

Rayven

Addicted to Minimins!

I will warn you in advance that this is going to be a very whiney post, so BEWARE! lol

Ok, so i've got five stone to lose, I keep trying to get back on CD but fail miserably each and every time i try! (on the first day!) I thought to myself, 'maybe i'm not in the right place to do ss, so today i tried Slimfast, the thinking behind it being that i can have snacks and a meal in the evening, but by 3 this afternoon i was stuffing myself with sandwhiches and crisps!

I know i NEED to lose this weight. I WANT to lose this weight. So WHY can't i stick to anything?!

PLEASE help me! I know i'm being a whiney tart and i should just get on with it and that you all find it hard too, but it just feels like i'm not going to be able to stick to anything! :(

Hi Rayven, it's hard if your heads not in the right place and although you want to lose the weight as you have experienced sometimes that's just not enough. If only we could put our finger on what makes us eventually get our bums in gear we could earn a fortune. I really feel for you and I'm sorry I cannot be of any use as I have been there myself. I tried various diets and failed but then one day just thought this is it, it's now or never and got stuck in. What are the reasons for wanting to lose weight? maybe write them all down and focus on them and take one day at a time. Good luck with it and I hope it works for you soon.

Hey hun...can't really help as in same position as you, but as you know your head has to be totally in the zone to do cambridge diet:p..it is rubbish not knowing what to do, but suddenly your head will just click and you'll know what is best for you and you'll suceed from there :D

Have you thought of starting CD on the 810 plan, where you can eat restricted food and then working down to SS. A friend did this, and her losses were soo good she never bothered going down the plans. She has 2 or 3 shakes and a meal. Either that or cut out on carbs for a week before you start, as it may be carb withdrawal that you are struggling with, if it is done gradually it may help.

Good luck with it, whatever you do.

I would echo the above and try on a higher plan if you feel you still need the food.
I cut out the carbs a few days before ss and it helped alot, and in some ways knowing I couldnt have food helped too.. the first few days were a bit tough but after the hunger goes its well worth it.
It is crucial to get your head right on any diet, but it requires a massive commitment on CD. The thought of loosing a stone or thereabouts a month kept me going when i started, and i imagined what i would look like a few months down the line... that helped me... have a goal in mind and go for it! good luck with everything
x

I agree with cutting the carbs before you start- the week before I started CD I needed to get my bmi below 40 so I could do it straight away without waiting for my doc, so I lived on protein for that week, but didn't restrict myself too much. By the end of the week I didn't want so much and I was already in ketosis when I met my CDC, started SS- those shakes were an absolute godsend after eating nothing but egg and meat for a week- ugh! Oh and the best thing? I lost 10lbs before I even met my CDC and got my bmi to 39 something :D

Hey hon,
You can do it if you really want it! I know its hard I had been there so many times before.. But this time I really really wanted it.. I really hated myself and just had to do something about it..
I would say dont focus on the 5 stone you want to lose break it down and focus on each stone then it doesnt seem so daunting..
I would do SS+ with a meal or 810 and that way you can eat in the evening so you have that to look forward to.
Take each day at a time and picture yourself where you want to be if you have an occasion coming up in the future or an outfit you would like to be in..
I started CD in February and I knew in October I wanted to look good on my cousins wedding and by then I was at my goal and felt fab!
Cambridge really works hon it can be hard but its so worth doing as I know its changed my life and I am sure it would yours to.
You can do it xxxx

Hi ya,
I'm too the same, I always go and get the shakes etc.. and then think "hmmm one more day" and before I know it it's WI day and I've not lost anything!
I don't know what happened to me but this week I stuck to it all week and when I went for my WI I'd lost 8lbs...made it worth it!
This is my 2nd re-start and honestly it'll be the last.
You really need (If you are like me) a goal to aim for, Mine is getting married in March 2010 and also I want to take my Daughter swimming instead of making excuses!
It's hard but you are the only one who can get you where you want to be!
Everyone is so great on here and if you feel you can't do it come on here!
I also have a few of my "fatty" pictures as I call them on the fridge door!
Good luck and don't give up CD really does work!
Lots of love to you x x

Thanks guys. I don't really know whether i can do any diet right now - i know all about having the right head space and tbh i just don't know if i have that right now.
I don't know whether today is going to be a slimfast day or a sole source day but i do know that its not going to be a total blow out like yesterday. Its 13.29 and i haven't had anything today so far. I'm rather an all or nothing kinda gal and if i can make it to tea time without having anything but water and tea then i can either go two ways, have my three shakes between tea time and bed (evenings are the hardest for me anyway) or i can have a sf shake and a low cal 600 cal meal for dinner and then have another sf shake before bed. Either way it will have been a good diet day. I know this is probably not the best way to do it, but i feel its the only way (right now) for me to get a good day under my belt - and i think if i get one good day in then everyday after that will be a bit easier. Thats the theory anyway. I'm hoping i can manage a ss day, because the first day is always the hardest and i know i can get through the rest of the week if i can just do today.
Anyway thanks for all of the comments - was really down about everything yesterday. xx

evenings are the hardest time for me too.. i usually have a shake or tetra at lunch time, then a soup at tea time, and a bar at 9pm when everyone else is picking at sweets! initially i had a shake at 9 for the first 2 weeks...
I would suggest you give up on the slim fast! it contains carbs and is no good for you! it will make you feel hungry...
and also dont go all day just on water.. you are FAR more likely to binge by tea time if you starve yourself like that.
I too am an all or nothing person, which is why this diet has been so successful for me. I have a few ss+ days in the week, otherwise its just ss, and i feel in control.
Stick with it, the results are truly amazing on this diet, but you have to give it a fair chance...
We are all right behind you on here, keep posting so we can help! even if its a rant and rave! thats what we're here for!

How's it going Rayven? I haven't had the best week either, but today is a new day and I'm going to try to make it a better one.
