Angel Points

:angeldevil:

Okay - so today I have had 0 Syns (so far) and earnt at least 60 Angel Points.

You earn Angel Points by resisting food that you KNOW you would have breathed in without realising it before / off SW.

I went on a course today. BEFORE I would have eaten (and didn't today)
3 biscuits with coffee & 1 sugar when first arrived, and the same at coffee break. (20ish)
Sandwiches on butter / white bread / various fillings at lunch (15ish)
Cake at lunch (one piece from buffet, and another piece from nice man with tray when clearing up) (at least 20)
Coffee with a sugar and another piece of cake in afternoon break (at least 7)

Boring course could have equalled nearly a weeks syns!!!

Ive had a Cadburys Fudge sat in front of me ALL DAY. I gave it to my wee boy a few minutes ago, as I was fed up looking at it & testing me lol.

I live above a pizza place and my hallway smells of pizza and garlic, its so hard to resist but managed it for three months lol x

Think of the Angel Points though!!!

I'm trying to decide money value of them so can record them along with syns and reward myself when built up set amounts. That way I can take some pleasure in being an angel instead of synning.

I love the idea of angel points! I would have earned some today as I didn't eat the extra pizza I had made for the kids or the choc biscuit they had for their afternoon snack!

Well done for not caving in on your course! :D

lol - that smug feeling saw me through. I think I'd add up quite a few Angel Points every week, but then, I can always find things to buy so it'd be nice to have some justification for my spending!

Hmmm - might start of generous and put £1 in a pot for every 100 and see how I go.

This is a good idea but how do you work out the points, or is it just the amount of syns saved? Well done angels! x

Iv just sat and watched my entire family eat a dominoes whilst i ate uncle bens mexican rice (totally bland yet spicy?) and i cooked a steak stirfry, which i didnt even eat as i was so totally stuffed after the 2 chopped carrots, apple, rice and a few doritoes and dip to keep me going.. so i just sat and watched.

do i lose a few angel points as i picked at the doritoes? and about 6 nuts? x

i live 5 doors away from the local coop and have had an addiction for roast beef monster munch for a while but havnt had any for 3 weeks no idea how many syns are in the jumbo pack they do lol but once i start i cant stop i resisted buying a bag in iceland today and my kids and hubby had beef burgers and chicken burgers for dinner i had sw wedges and vege curry followed by a muller light

I only give myself the points if I KNOW that I would have just had the thing without thinking once upon a time.
I think it's easy to get really worked up that you've 'blown it' etc etc if you go a little over your syns. It's good to remind yourself of the number of syns that you really did get through before. We all have our ups and downs, but even a bad day 'on plan' tends to be better than a good day 'off plan'.

You can't lose Angel Points, only earn them. If you eat the thing then you syn it. Syns and Angel Points are completely seperate things in my mind. I just find it helpful to use them when either I need something to focus me in when it's a difficult situation to stay on plan (eg. my course / childrens parties / christmas / etc - depending on you personally) or when I've made a booboo with my days synning and give myself such a hard time that it makes me want to give up.

They're only a bit of fun, and a lot of people might find them completely useless. I like them though, and might apply them to my food shopping next time I go.

I would've caved. Before starting SW I ate at least 4 large dominoes pizzas a month !! Don't even want to think of the syns now..

Well done for sticking to plan :D

Hi, I love the idea of Angel points, blimey if I worked out how many I would have earned some days....I dread to think. It really makes you realise how much stuff you just would have eaten without giving it a second thought.
I'm really finding it hard at the minute so I may give this a try, anything that helps at the moment it a bonus for me as its difficult to manage 1 good day for me at the moment.
So thanks very much for this idea!! x
