CHRISTMAS BBQ IDEAS! HELP!

Evening! After a bit of help here.... I have 3 Christmas dinners to go to before "the Big Day" and can't bear the thought of spending hours cooking to eat more turkey. Local pub is booked out....so...I thought i would try something different and have a Christmas BBQ (fingers x'd for good weather!). Any ideas for Christmassy BBQ recipes? I normally follow EE but may not be quite so faithful on the day itself.... Thanks!

We're having a December BBQ (also dependant on cold but dry weather!)
Turkey drumsticks? Cranberry sausages (if they exist!)? Jacket pots of course a must - maybe filled with the filling mixed with sprouts? (you'd have to cook the latter indoors of course then stuff them once the pots are cooked)

Could you choose something other than turkey for the meals leading up to it? Then you won't be sick of it!

Cranberry glazed sausages; Get some morrissons pork sausages (free) and glaze in some honey, soy and melted cranberry sauce

Bourbon glazed ribs: glaze pork spare ribs with a good splash of bourbon, soy sauce, american mustard and a dollop of ketchup

Loaded potato skins: Do these in the oven while the barbeque is on. Bake the potatoes, when cooked scoop out the middles and add some HEX a cheddar, spring onions and low fat fromage frais, salt and pepper (and chopped lean bacon if you fancy). Mix all together and pile back in the skins, spray with fry light and bake for further 10 minutes

Have a nice bowl of Christmas cous cous on the side made up with sultanas, cinnoman, parprika, ground cumin, ground coriander, chicken stock. At the end add the seeds from 1 pomegranate and some chopped fresh coriander. this is adapted from a 'Nigella Christmas' recipe and is fantastic- very festive and tastes brilliant

For pudding I LOVE mixing fat free greek yoghurt with options white chocolate, vanilla essence and sweetner- serve in wine glasses and layer with raspberries and top with a little grated white chocolate (this was in the latest SW magazine and is lovely)

Good luck!

ooooooo id make up some turkey kebabs maybe slot in some mini sausages (quorn ones) cranberries and a stuffing ball xmas dinner on a stick hehehe

Some great ideas there. I was thinking of the sticky sausages and turkey kebabs ideas.

What about turkey burgers with some Camembert in the middle, a dollop of cranberry sauce all in a bun.

that sounds lush i like turkey burgers mmm

eat smart diet sausages from Morrisons are FREE on red/extra easy and delicious, probably best to cook them in the oven first and then finish off on the bbq.
