Help with setting interim targets and targets!

Hi All, I hope your weight loss is going well this week! I've currently lost 2 stone and 2.5 lbs on SW - yay! but now feel like I should be setting a target! I was just keen to know how you guys set your targets..... I'm 12 stone 13 at the mo... (although it's a weigh in this evening!) and I'm 5ft 9 which I think puts 11 stone. Is it too soon to set a PAT of 11 now? what would a sensible interim figure be? any thuoghts greatly appreciated! C xxx
 
10% of your current weight is usually a good place to start. Ive set my PAT from day one, ill change it when I get there if I want too. I think 11 sounds about right for your height!
 
I agree that sounds about right. Personally for me I have no idea what weight I want to be so Im planning to lose & then stop when I feel comfortable at that weight.

My first goal was 10% & my consultant suggested having another goal of 10% from there (if that makes sense).

Sometimes having the big target can seem far fetched so its good to set yourself mini goals. Well done on your fab loss so far x

It's much better to have smaller goals so that you don't have to wait so long to feel you've achieved something. 10% is a great first goal and after that it's probably easiest to stick to each half stone or stone that you lose.

I've reached my 10% and now my next goal is to get to what I weighed before I became pregnant with my second son, 9.5 stone. After that I want to get down to what I weighed before my first son which was 8.5 stone. I wasn't skinny at that weight and was constantly trying to diet so I might try to see if I can get down to about 8 stone or 8.25 stone. That will put me about halfway through the healthy BMI range for my height.
 
thanks so much for this! Having red your post I'm putting my next goal at 12 stone 8 - as this is what I weighed a few years back and pyschologically i think it will make me feel like "the old me"!!! - even though I have been as light as 10 stone 7 at points.......

I've got weigh in tonight at 6 and normally don't eat after lunch - I just ate a muller light!!! LOL - is this likely to make a difference or am I just being over paranoid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
