Do you take supplements?

Just wondering if you syn them?

My C raise this last week - she said that some tablets should be synned, particularly the oil-based ones like evening primrose and the omega fish oils. She didn't know which ones though, unhelpfully! I said I'd look into it for class, but I can't seem to find anything on the SW site about it. Anyone know?

She also said that if you're eating the SW way you're eating a healthy, balanced diet and shouldn't need to supplement. I suppose this is true, but I take glucosamine for my dodgy knees...

Any ideas?

You could email SW but other than that no idea sorry; but think you've got a large task on your hands.

Good luck & I'll be interested to see the results :)

[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif] I think it's 1.5 for the cod liver oil capulets.

I take Jointace instead of cod liver oil for my knees and no, don't syn them. Also take Echinacea & Vit C when there are colds going round the family. Don't syn these either.

Basic/Non Branded Foods
Fats & Oils, Cod liver oil 1 level tsp

Our C said the same, I was livid, not with her, with SW philosophy on this, same with cold and flu remedies. My point was that your health comes before losing weight, and her reply was that in order to ensure a loss at WI, these things must be syn'd.

I take quite a lot of Vit C. Not entirely sure why, but my diet wasn't so good when I strted taking them, and not had cold since (4 years), so daren't stop. I have looked them up before, and never found anyhitng.

Personally Im an old school type of gal. If you are eating a balanced varied diet there shouldnt be the need to take a suppliment unless for a specific ailment that your GP has advised.
I know that hasnt answered your question Hellie and as the others have suggested I would email SW directly to enquire.

I used to take a lot of vitamins, espcecially when I was at uni. I was very thin then (got to under 8 stone at one point...euw) and between my degree and waitressing I was always running about and tired. But then again I didn't have the money to eat as well as now...

I don't take much now to be honest (better diet and lifestyle). I try to avoid taking pain relief etc too willy-nilly, but if I need to I will use them. And to be honest, I wouldn't syn them anyway. I agree that if you're in need of something to help health, take it.

However, if you need to take something long term, it may be worth looking into it and counting them.

It will be interesting to find out...good thread! x

there is an article on sm website about this and they say not to syn most of these things, its in the features bit. stuff like cough medicine does need to de syn coz most of it is full of sugar (plus they dont actually do anything!)
