hi
i am new here so hope i am doing this right.
i put on a lot of weight (over 5 stone!) when i was pregnant. I have lost most of it by myself by following WW diet (most of the time) but am so bored of that now i never manage to stick to it all week.
have been browsing alternative diets on the net and came across GoLower, Dietchef, and WeightToGo.
Cant decide which to do, which has the best success rates, which one works.
I weigh 12st 3lb and want to get back to 10st. :sign0007:
The GoLower consultant rang me today and gave me the info - but to be honest i didnt like her, i dont want her as my mentor. that wouldnt stop me from doing it though if i was convinced it would work for me and its not all an expensive con.
please, your advice is much needed and will be most appreciated.
thankyou so much! :)

DC is the best diet i've been on the food is yum and i never feel hungry i'm eating
healthy by adding fruit and loads veg sometimes adding rice pasta 40g dry weight. I've lost weight even when i fall
of the wagon :D cant be bad........

I'm not doing too well on DC just now but it's totally my fault. The food is delicious, filling and reasonable. I just eat other stuff! When I was sticking to it, I was losing. My son has stuck to it for about 3 weeks and lost a stone - he is now perfect. Best diet I have tried, it's just me who is the problem!

I've only tried DC - I think it was go lower I also looked at (if that is the one with "richer" but Atkins type recipes) which seemed to be more the type of food I go for - rich, creamy, you get the picture but decided as I have a huge amount of weight to lose I wanted on a diet that was a, long term sustainable, and B, I could stick with the principles of afterwards. I know I can't cut out carbs - I love them too much so decided that in the long term DC would be more beneficial as it is really just calorie counting but the work has been done for you (with 3 little ones and hubby away all week a total godsend). Once I get to the point I can move off it all (ALL!) I will need to do is watch the caloriesThe DC food is great - I haven't had a bad meal yet and have lost 20lbs in my first 4 weeks.

because (realistically) I will be dieting for a year before I get where I want to be I have decided to have one "free" day a week in the hopes that I will stay on track for the rest of the week rather than drifting off as I did in week 3 and half of week 4.

Hope you manage to find the one that will work for you.

Hi I only started on diet chef last Sunday so am no expert. I've found all the meals and soups so far have been fine. Its not like home cooking but is tasty and warm (very welcome in this weather)! But its more the type of diet that appealed, it is so easy to fit in if you are busy and for me as I don't have to prep loads of meals for other people it's so easy to come in and heat up a meal when you get in hungry from work. With Diet Chef your provided meals total around 800 cals so you do need to add in extras like fruit, veg milk and maybe a rice or bread. But it is easy to do and makes you think about getting your 5 a day in. I have a lot of weight to lose and am hoping to stick to it for a good while - fingers crossed.

Best of luck with whichever you choose
Jane x
