Starting to struggle advice needed please!

I am hoping that someone from this fab forum is able to offer some advice. I have lost five and a half stone with slimming world so far which has made me feel so much better and healthier! The problem is I am not where I want to be yet, I dont have a specific target but still want to loose around two stone.

In all the weigh in's I have only gained three times (always after holidays) and only small gains. However these past two weeks I have come to a real stumbling block. I had a holiday week last week therefore prior to that I had a fair few days where my meals had a treat aspect to them e.g. chips, pudding (not sw friendly ones). This week I have tried so hard to get back to sw mentality but seem to be having a day where I follow the plan to the T and the next day where I loose will power.

For the first six months of doing sw I was very focussed and had fab losses, now as expected the weight loss has slowed but is still going down which is the main thing. I am going to class tomorrow but know I have gained which is making me feel down :(.

Does anyone have any similar expieriences or ideas on how to re-boost following weeks like this?

Thank you for taking the time to read!

Hey Nik, two things I have to say: WELL DONE ON YOUR AMAZIN WEIGHT LOSS!!!
DONT GIVE IN!!
You've come too far to just cave in now. I this journy is not supposed to be easy, no one can say they have stuck to plan 100% for as long as you have!!
If you do gain weight at WI then accept it and just keep moving. Keep yourself busy, set mini goals which you can work towards. Never give up because we all slip up!!
Try mixing up your days, more variety and think of all the things your going to do, going to wear when you get to goal.

Good luck hun and keep me posted.

Scouzer. X

Hi Nik - I've also lost a large amount (5 stones) but still have a long way to go! I got to the stage recently where I wasn't losing much if at all and I got quite disheartened. In the end I decided to try and change what I was eating a bit to see if it made any difference (had been having a lot of green days and decided to try red). It did make a difference and I started to lose weight again, which in turn made me feel more motivated. I know it's not exactly the same situation as you're in, but ringing the changes may have a positive effect on your weight loss and help with your motivation too? PS I like your avatar, I live in Barnsley :)

Thank you so much for your kind words! I agree that I should try more red days as at the most I have one a week and it would mean I can try new things! Also I know group helps me and the support tomorrow will keep me going even though I am in for a gain! I have started using food diaries again so that I can understand a bit more whats going on with me lately! P.s I am from Barnsley, moved over the border a couple of years ago it is nice to meet someone from tarn!

Well am from Wakefield originally but moved to 'tarn' when I met my hubby who's a Barnsley lad born and bred :)
Yeah, give it a go with red, I always thought I would struggle more than I do with red days but in actual fact I find them quite easy now.I also find I naturally eat a lot more of the superfree foods alongside the meat and fish. Suits hubby too as he likes his meat and when I was having a lot of green days he got sick of pasta and spuds! LOL X

Hey honey.

As the others have said - WELL DONE! What an achievement - you must be really proud of yourself and feeling good??? :-D

I've just had a stagnant period too - last week was the first loss in a while despite being on plan. I've not lost the same as you, but we're all different and our bodies work in their own mysterious ways.

I simply 'mixed it up a bit' with my plan. I started using different recipes and stuff after realising that though I'd not been off plan, I was in a rut food wise. Plus, I was diagnosed with IBS so the changes made are helping control that too.

Also, do you exercise? If you do, maybe try something new? Basically, keep your body guessing! :)

Don't lose heart - I was so fed up and felt like I'd hit a wall, but it's moving again now and it will for you too honey.

Your weight if you lose another 28lbs or so will be healthy and I think it may work well to work to how you're feeling and not a number - so good luck and let us know how you get on xxxx

well done on your amaxing loss!!
Why not try and revisit some old food diaries from earlier in your journey I always find this to be motivational x
