*sigh* i'm back..again..I've decided to start doing the diet by myself at home, due to low funds and time and will be weighing myself every sunday morning at boots. Ive really struggled with motivation in the past though- any tips? I lost almost 2 stone first time round, and put on about 5lbs since..and i need help STICKING to it, it seems so much easier to get a takeaway, or when im bored to get some chocolate

help!

Why not do a food diary on here?
That way you can go back and look at what you've been doing.
There is a wealth of support and ideas on here...
If there is anything yo are unsure of or need a boost there is always someone on line to help you through the hard times.
You know you can do it, you've done so well before.
Keep in there and good luck

I know a lot of minimims do it at home but its not for me, I tried it but it so easy to not stick because you are not going to get weighed in. I read you are going to Boots but that is easy to put off. I would say try this for a couple of weeks but if you dont manage to lose then get yourself back to class, times are hard but to spend a few pounds at class is money well spent. Some of the 'at homes' maybe will be able to give you inspiration. If you are determined then you should be able to manage, just dont leave it too long without results. I did and soon put back on a stone. Am on the right track now but was too slow to see that I was slipping back into bad habits. Good luck xx

Welcome back! Much better you're back here only 5lbs up, not 2 stone ;)

I'm an at-class girl, but did it at home for a while. I think the key to motivation is plain and simple - being slimmer. If you really want it, and are ready to do it, then you'll avoid the take-aways and just have your syn allowance of chocolate. Yes it might be easier but if you want to lose weight, you will stop before you pick up the phone to Greasy Pizzas R Us and think 'do I want a quick food fix or do I want to lose weight?' and your answer will be obvious!

Determination is the key!

And planning. Make sure you've got a fridge full of fruit and veg, heaps of free foods in the cupboard, low-syn treats to hand. After your WI, spend an hour or two thinking about your meals for the week ahead, write a shopping list and stick to it. It's so much harder to stay on track if you're not prepared...and easier to be tempted by naughty stuff if you're not going by a list.

You can do it! Be strong willed and keep your eyes on the prize!

No you are not crawling back! You are marching back with your head held high!!

If you lost 2 stone and gained 5 pounds that means (quick pause for adding up on fingers) that you lost 1 stone and 9 pounds). Which is brilliant.

And what is even better is that you are tackling things quickly and effectively before any more damage is done.

No reason to crawl - you should be proud of yourself.

Im doing it at home, cant really afford class, but im doing good, it can be done especially with the help and support of this great site, good luck x

The first time i did SW was 6 years ago before falling pg with my daughter. I borrowed a colleagues book and 3 months later was 2.5 stone lighter.

Now with a 7 month old too, i just cannot do it myself. I need the obedience of the scales in class and inspiration!

I find that meal planning is key for me when i need to get back on track. I make sure i plan loads of our fave dishes with lots of variety and that i have plenty of superfree foods and low syn snacks.

I personally find that a Choc Orange HIFI bar can give me a choccy fix and as it's a HE that means if i still want somehting more i can have a Curly Wurly or Skips (someone on here gave me a fab tip of popping the curly wurly in the freezer so that you can savour it - it's fab!)

Good luck, make sure you drink plenty of water and vary your diet! ;) x
