Hi all, I love spring rolls and always thought they would be a no no as they are fried in oil etc, My friend is from the Philippines and she makes them for parties and gatherings etc.
In the village today I went in to the whole foods shop and found spring roll wrappers , I bought them because I thought they would come in handy if they weren't suitable for SW. But they are made from rice and I wondered if any one knew the syn value of them
Heres the nutritional info
Blue dragon spring roll wrappers
Pack size 134 grams 12 wrappers in each pack so 26 grams each
per 100grm per sheet
energy 340 cal 38cal
protein 5.8gm 0.7gm
carbs 77.4 8.9
fat 0.5 0.1
fibre/salt both trace
I really hope these work out low. I could fry light them and oven cook them.
Just with a filling of bean sprouts, mushrooms, carrots and a bit of seasoning-
Fingers crossed
