...can you have puffed wheat as a HE? Or would it be syns?
People keep mentioning it and I'm starting to really fancy some....

Im *pretty sure* its 28g for a HE ~ apparently thats quite a lot too as it weighs hardly anything!!

To be honest I just miss it out when it says to have a scan bran with it ~ I know lots of people will say its not a true HE but I couldnt eat the chuffing thing if I tried!! :D

Silly question - I assume it has to be sugar free, as in NOT buying sugar puffs??? I'm new to SW. It's just I bought raisin wheats and was dismayed to find that 28g was 10 minute little wheats...Thanks xo

It has to be puffed wheat. But it's a huge bowlful. Sprinkle on swwetner and it's like a huge bowl of sugar puffs. It's the only cereal where you get a decent amount.

Puffed wheat really are great for a filling breakfast!
I managed to get hold of some in Morrisons, but as Im a bit of a perfectionist (I hate scan bran as well!!), I decided that I would just syn them and they are only 5 syns for 1oz, which is great!

I know it's a bit naughty but I substitute 1 wholewheat crackerbread sometimes, or I snap the scan brans up (only 2 of them) into a cup, add a little bit of hot water, make it into mush then add half a beaten egg, sweetner and a sachet of dark chocolate highlights and microwave for 2 mins.

Chocolate scan bran cake in a cup! :D

I was just ging to say I think I'd have a slice of scan bran chocolate cake with puffed wheat - not that I've managed to find any anywhere yet!

I like the idea of the scan bran cake - got a 'proper' full cake recipe? (Preferably low/no syn) The only ones I can find have honey and all sorts and turn out to be a billion syns

The one i have is a HEb (for the scan bran) and 6 syns as it includes cocoa and golden syrup - but cut into 6 it's only 1 syn a day so I feel that's worth it (it got me a 3lb loss last week!) - can let you have it if you still want it.

I'm not sure I'd be able to stop at one piece - I think that's what's worrying me lol
Can I have it anyway hon - but if there's a 'cheaper' one, syn wise, I;d be interested in that x

CHOCOLATE CAKE RECIPE.

3 and a half syns per serving anyday

serves 6

INGREDIENTS

100g All Bran cereal
250ml boiling water
2 eggs
6 heaped teaspoons drinking chocolate (I use tesco's reduced fat one, but this recipe is for the ordinary stuff)
half cup sweetener

METHOD

1) Pour the boiling water on the All Bran in a large bowl and mix well
2)Add the eggs, the sweetener and the chocolate powder, and mix until well combined.
3)Put the mixture in a 6 and a half inch round tub or other suitable microwavable dish, smooth the topwith a lrge spoon or flat knife, and microwave on high for 6 mins.
4) Turn cake out onto a plate and cut into 6 slices. Enjoy!!

Our SWC gave us this recipe last week. I used a flatter square dish and cut it into brownies. You could also add some nuts as a HEXb on a green day if you like. Just remember, it's 3 and a half syns PER SERVING. Hope you like it - I'm addicted!! xo

28g of Puffed Wheat is a Healthy Extra B, I like it cos its a massive bowl full and with a load of Canderel is not to bad :)
