Biscuits Recipe

Hey everyone!

I've got this recipe for biscuits which I've always used with my Mum when baking. I had a go at working out the syns per biscuit and I worked out 3 syns a biscuit.

I think this must be wrong as it seems low.

Could someone with more experience please check the recipe and let me know if I'm wrong!

Shrewsbury Biscuits

- 100g Butter
- 100g Castor Sugar
- 1 Egg
- 4 drops of Vanilla Essence
- 150g Self-Raising Flour
- 100g Plain Flour (for rolling out the dough)

1) Preheat oven to 200*C
2) Cut up butter and beat with a wooden spoon
3) Beat in sugar until mixture is pale and creamy
4) Beat in eggs and vanilla essence
5) Fold in flour
6) Knead into a stiff dough
7) Roll out onto a floured board to an 1/4 inch thick
8) Cut into 2 inch rounds and place on baking trays
9) Bake for 20 mins until golden brown
10) Allow to cool on trays for 5 mins

Any help with syns is greatly appreciated!

Thanks xxxx:D

Depends how many biscuits you get from the recipe

Butter = 10.5 syns per 28 g so 37.5
Caster sugar = 5.5 syns per 28g so 20
SR Flour = 5 syns per 28g so 18
Plain Flour = 4.5 syns per 28g so 16

Total = 91.5 syns divided by how ever many biscuits you made.

does Vanilla Essence/Extract have no syns then?

I want to make some biscuits and was going to use this recipe.
