sign in here if you are a judder

soozsb

Xmas goal, here I come!
I am very curious to know who is juddering right now. I started just this week. Could you all sign your names here and give a little blurb about your experiences thus far with juddering?
I would really appreciate hearing about you all and your experiences.:D
I am sooz and have been trying to lose weight for about 30 yrs. I have a medically diagnosed slow metabolism which makes it even harder to lose weight and EASIER to gain it. I have tried every diet known to womankind and some not known :D . Soome have worked and some haven't, but all have brought me back to my current weight. I think I am the only canadian on this sight, but haven't been able to find a canadian sight thus far that I like better. You all are awesome!
I decided to try juddering b/c I am tired of feeling deprived. If it goes well I will continue it. I sometimes like to switch it up a bit b/c I find if I try a diff. diet every couple of weeks I seem to lose more weight. Last week it was low calorie and I lost 5.8 pounds in four days. I would like to be down to 185 pds by Christmas b/c there is a family reunion and I am tired of being the "fat" one at all the family gatherings. A lot of these people I haven't seen from 6 months to 3 years, so I want to shock them all. What's your story?:flirt2:

Hey there!

Welcome to the group!

You can see my "story" in my signature!

Have fun! :)

Your success is wonderful and inspiring to see.:D

What makes me sad is that people seldom respond to my threads?:sigh::cry::confused:

I can be a bit obsessive when I find a new diet to try and b/c I don't have the book I want to find out as much as possible about the diet.
Do you think I am wording my requests in an offensive way:confused:
I really want to hear about everyones judd journey and there do seem to be a lot of judders now compared to a month or so ago, don't you think?
But still I have about 4 threads on the forum and almost no one has responded to them except you and stirky7. So thank you, thank you, thank you to you both! You have helped me immensely!!!:D

No I don't think your post are offensive at all..... :)

As far as a lack of response here.... This board stays very active, however it is a slow kinda active... Does that make sense? LOL If you post something, sooner or later it will get answered but it might be a day later..... LOL

You also have to remember that there are different time zones on this board....

I am in the states and I think Im about 8 hours or so behind Stirky. (or maybe its 6 hours ahead ROFL I don't remember)

Just hang out..... And enjoy the board. :)

Also... Have you visited Dr.Johnsons website regarding the JUDDDD?

Thanks Jolinar, and your from the states, finally someone on the same continent as me is on this forum lol.:D I thought I was the only one from this part of the world:)
I haven't seen any North American sites as good as this one.
Thanks for the time zone info, I didn't t;hink of that either.
I have the wrong time zone down on mine, can't figure out which one is mine, never very good at geography in school.:)

Yes the rest of us are in the UK so we're at least 5 hours ahead of you guys (5hrs ahead of easy coast, 8 hrs ahead of west coast) so probably when you're on here posting we're all sleeping lol. It is an active board now, quite a few of us here now. But can go a bit slow at times. I haven't been on here as much in the past week as I usually am due to quite a lot of different things. Think we all try and get on here as much as poss and reply to as many threads as we can. With all the diaries etc to catch up on even if you have one day away from minimins you can have an awful lot to read the next day lol.

But I'm sure people will reply to you, just take the time difference into account.

Looks like you're getting on well so far on juddd which is fab! I love the plan myself, it really is great! Although after being poorly last week struggling a bit this week to get back into the swing of things. Sure I'll be right back on course by next week tho x

Hi soozsb. Well done on the weight loss:D Everyone has said what I was going to too. You have to remember that there is only really around 8 on here doing juddd.
The other threads e.g Cambridge has perhaps 50+ people posting so is much busier.
Im not sure why we are a smaller group as personally I think everyone should who needs to lose weight should give it a try

Yes it is such a great plan, certainly agree everybody should give it a go, of course it won't suit all but I love to be able to eat normally every other day :D

Starting a new JUDDD program today.

I've been working to to keep my weight inside my weight maintenance range for the past 4 years. I've sometimes used JUDDD and QOD during the past 3 years with excellent success.

Recently I've been having difficulty getting my weight back down into the blue area of my maintenance weight range, so today I decided to start JUDDD again. For almost 5 years, I've been keeping a software food log, which tells me the calories in my food intake, so I know that this past year, my total average calorie burn has been just a bit under 1100 calories a day...including my daily low-impact exercise.

:eatdrink051:My JUDDD Plan will be:
UP days, a maximum of 1300 calories,
DOWN days, a maximum of 300 calories,
working toward an 800 calorie daily average. This should create about a 300 calorie daily deficit for approximately 1/2 lb fat loss per week. Since today my weight is higher than normal, I would expect to also lose a few additional lbs due to salt/water/waste.

Welcome BrightAngel and well done on your loss and maintenance, that is incredible! Good luck with juddd again, sure you'll do really well being as you've done it before x

Hey there! I'm just starting (as of today) doing JUDD.. I reached a plateau with calorie counting and need to do something to try kick off weight loss again. So I'll try this for a week or so and see how it goes. Can't be worse than plateau'ing!

Hi, I have read with great interest all your posts about Juddd ...... and not only do I think I might have found something that I can do and will suit me, but I also think that all of you posting here are terrific!;)

There is so much advice and inspiration!

We have visitors this weekend, but I'm thinking that I could do Sunday as a medium day and go full throttle Monday with a DD.

I am 40 years old and almost 160lbs. Ideally I would like to be 140 lbs . To make half that before Christmas would be amazing.

I have lost weight in the past on a general low carb style diet but for the past few months I have been really struggling to get my head back in that space. I genuinely think (from reading your posts and links) that this is something I could do without too much stress.

Thanks to you all ....... you make an impact on the people who lurk the boards, looking for an answer to that million dollar question....!

I will be back to let you know how I get on x

Hi, I started on Monday and so far so good. I've been reading some of the threads on here and reply as I can. Unfortunately I just don't seem to get enough time to get on here as often as I would like.

I love the fact that I don't feel like I am on a diet with this plan. And everyone on here really seems to be enjoying Judddering and you don't get that on a lot of weight loss plans.

Sanghi.

Hey all just to update my progress. I had one down one up day so far, now I'm down again.
The down day was ok... I got that feeling I had like when on lighterlife, that slight fuzzy head made it hard to concentrate. Not sure whether I can exercise on down days; I'm going to give it a go today

Yesterday felt like I was really naughty when in actual fact I think I was about right in terms of calories - 2500cals (I exercise about 4 times a week usually). I just ate stuff I would never eat otherwise! Like a cupcake etc. And having the permission to eat whatever I felt like eating at that time. It was so weird! Anyway I probably should eat more healthily tomorrow on my next up day.

Today I'm experimenting with what I eat on the DD; I had eggs for breakfast. Those usually keep me pretty well sustained. Then homemade soup for lunch = low calorie & filling. So, not worried about that. I just wait to see if I'm hungry by evening when I'll have about 310calories to play with.... Hm. Stir fry maybe?

Anyway That's my progress so far!
