A good day!

Sometimes, nice things happen! Some days we feel rubbish and miserable but occasionally we have good days and I thought I’d acknowledge a good one!

First of all, I am wearing an outfit I am happy with, I think I look ok, my hair is nice and my make up looks good. I am presentable! Adds up to Hellie being in a good mood.
Then, a guy from another team on my floor, tells my colleague in my team that I am looking really good at the moment, and that he can tell I’ve lost a bit of weight and said I’m looking lovely…and she told me! So that made me feel all warm and fuzzy.
And then, I saw a bloke that I had a bit of an office romance with a few years ago (way back in my young, carefree days-it was just a friendly fling, no bad air between us after it ended!), who now works in another office and we had a good chat and catch up…and I am chuffed that I saw him when I was looking/feeling good! LOL!

It’s days like this that make up for the crappy, miserable, fat, bad hair, no clothes to wear, dieting-failure ones!!!

So, let’s celebrate the good things…what’s going well for you today?

Today is a good day because

1) I don't have to go to work today
2) I went to my weigh in and lost 6.5lbs and am Slimmer of the Week :D

I've never lost so much with Slimming World ever!!! I'm so happy.

That's fantastic!! It's amazing how compliments from other people can make you feel on top of the world, just as how catty comments can make you feel rock bottom!! This kind of thread spurs me on because I have very happy memories of when I lost 4 stone about 6 years ago and felt on top of the world because the compliments were flooding in, I adored buying new clothes and got excited about wearing them!! The list of positives that weight loss brings is endless! I now have 5 stone to lose, hate my wardrobe, rarely feel great in my clothes and I'm determined to get those feelings you're describing back again! Good on you and let the good times continue!!X

OK, I should say something positive too!!!

I am feeling great because....1) I'm once again feeling in control of my eating!!! 2) The scales went down 1 1/2 lb in my first WI (which is much better than nothing, and much much better than putting it on!!) 3) I am full of determination that I'm going to lose 5 stone!!!

That's ACE! Good for you. :D

The nicest thing that has happened to me today is people on this forum being supportive when I was down. :)

That's something to be positive about :)
