Starting tomorrow!

CazBurt

Boozy Bird
Ok, the bad breath thing is still a worry, I'll just have to stock up on mints.... :D

I'm planning to have:

Omelette:
2 eggs
1/2 cup cheddar cheese
1/2 cup of mushrooms (1.2 carbs)
1/4 cup onion (2.8 carbs)

Salad:
1/2 cup lettuce (0.2 carbs)
2 tomatoes (8.6 carbs)
1 tbsp full fat mayo
Hard boiled egg
Chicken breast

Stir Fry:
Beef
Olive Oil
1/2 cup peppers (2.3)
1/4 cup onion (2.8)
1/2 cup mushrooms (1.2)
Soy Sauce - is this allowed?

Total carbs for the day = 19.1

Is this ok? I got the carb info from the Atkins site. I'm going to convert the cup sizes into grams though. I'm more familiar with that measurement!

Sounds fine would just say though, as Jim will tell you, Tomato's are very high in carbs and were not allowed on teh original atkins diet so I avoid these. But th erest looks good. Can't advise re soy sauce though sorry and your cheese will have some carbs also. Good Luck hun

xx

Cheddar Cheese and Diet

Oh the onion was a no no on the original Atkins as well

Welcome aboard to both of you, it workedfor me. :)

Best of luck!!

Good luck to CazBert and Buddhamummy...

I love this way of eating, I am very rarely hungry, love the food and have consistent weight loss....I found the first few weeks the hardest as I seemed to suffer from the headaches for the longest time, however this is very unusual and the majority have the headaches for 1 or 2 days at the most...

You will love this new way of life. I am finding it like my security blanket and can't imagine going back to eating as I did before...

All the best on your new journey, and you will get plenty of support here...
Jx

welcome cazbert and budd, I'll be joining you guys tomorrow for a strict induction but I'm not new to the diet..good luck to you both. It does work.

cazbert your menu looks ok but I wouldn't eat the onions and be careful with tomatoes and cheese. Cheese tends to stall some people..

No problem caz anytime :) that's what we are here for..

30g might be ok but just make a note of it and see how it goes.. I'm starting my strict induction tomorrow, so we're both in the same boat
