I have a tub of quark that needs using today and need a recipe for my dinner tonight. Can anyone give me some ideas please? does it go with pasta? maybe a carbonara type recipe? or anything else you can recommend.

In the magazine recipe for spaghetti carbonara srves 4:

Ingredients
fry light
1 red onion chopped finely
120g bacon/quorn bacon sytle rashers
1 large clove garlic, crushed
340g spaghetti
3 large egg yolks
250g pot of quark
113g parmesan cheese
salt & pepper
finey chopped parsley

Fry off onion garlic and bacon, boil pasta. Mix egg yolks, quark and half the cheese and seasoning. Drain spaghetti (reserve some of the cooking water). Stir in sauce to spaghetti and add bacon mix. Add about 85ml of cooking water to loosen sauce. Sprinkle with parmesan and parsley.

I cooked this last night but dont think I added enough of the water as was a bit gloopy so next time I make it will make sure measure the water rather than guess. Was very tasty though

Make a basic tomato sauce (tinned tomatoes/passata and mixed herbs) simmer for 20 minutes and at the last minute add Quark skimmed milk soft cheese and a squeeze of lemon juice

Ooooh that sounds interesting. Is it a bit like a marscapone sauce??
