Hey all I've been so off track there for ages so my halloween challenge went out the window :(
Have been working 60hr weeks so have found it hard to do any exercise, and when I go to clients houses (am a hairdresser full-time whilst building up mobile clientelle) they always try to feed me up! Seriously bad! It's not fruit either, it's chocolate biscuits, buns, cake etc.
Since I'm travelling so much and working most days/evenings, I really am finding it hard to find the energy and motivation to go to spin or any of the classes I was doing. This then in turn, seems to make me eat more, whereas if I go to the gym I usually eat a bit better.
Any ideas how to get motivated to exercise when I'm like this? Am fed up getin nowhere when I really coulda been a few stone lighter, I always feel like I'm on a diet my whole life xx

Hey pumpkin, you work mad hours!!! I really don't know what to suggest. Would it be worth investing in a decent bit of gym equipment at home like an exercise bike so that you save time going to/from the gym AND save on gym fees and classes? Then you can slot in 30-45 mins exercise whenever and cut down on your travelling time.

Also when your clients offer you snacks just say you've got all kinds of food intolerances or allergies! That's what I often do in a Workplace Biscuit Torture Scenario...

I have a treadmill but it's quite noisey and our walls seem to be very thin as in we can hear everything in our row of townhouses so I don't want to use it early in the mornings as our neighbours would problably go mad. But that would definatly be a ghreat solution I guess, even 10mins in the mornings.
I just can't stick to my calorie allowance, I useally mess up late evenine, but recently it's been throughout the day, I guess I have to stop myself feeling like I've blown it if I eat the wrong choice at any stage and just get over it.
Sorry for long post, thanks guys :wave_cry: x

It would really help if you can knock that on the head. It's usually the case when people push food on others, that they believe the others really want it (regardless of what they say)

When I got to goal, I decided that I wouldn't eat in the staffroom at school. There's was always lots of goodies there.

I missed it at the beginning, but now it doesn't bother me at all. Others chomp away and I'm quite happy to watch them :D

I sometimes eat there now, but it's very rare. It's really habit forming.

Tell them in advance that you need to stop eating everywhere, and stick to it. Don't give in at all, because if you do, they'll try to persuade you eat time thinking that you are longing for a push ;)

aww hunni, the worst thing you can do is when you slip up feel crap and make it worse, if you do slip up, put it behind you straight away, just think okay that wasnt a good choice but its done and its over now carry on, you reall need to get into that mind set or you will just keep sabotaging(sp?) yourself.
I hope you can get back on the journey, good luck.
xxxxxxx

Kindly refuse their treats, explain you are eating healthy these days (maybe next time they will have a healthy treat for you?)
Always carry low cal snacks with you, and seems to me you are active enough - 60 hr weeks! yikes!- and don't be so hard on yourself. Instead of doing such a high energy glass, try yoga or pilates?

Hey all, thanks all for your replies.
I came up with a (hopefully) solution, I joined another gym that does early 6.30am spin classes, so I can get in before I go to work. Only problem is I hate mornings lol, and now I have 2 gym memberships to pay lol, but will try it out and see.
So, I'm back at the gym anyways and going to batch cook tomorrow as I have a day off, yay! So now I can just grip something from the freezer for my lunches :D x

Hey that batch cooking sounds like a great idea. When you're rushed off your feet all day it's all about the planning. Good luck with it!
