Why am I finding it so hard this week

On my third week now, and this is my first week back at work after having a minor op. When I get in from work I have to cook a meal for my family and I am absolutely starving.

My youngest son comes and stands in the kitchen while I dish up so I can't eat anything, I wanted to stay on SS for at least a month. I'm now thinking of moving to SS+ so that I can have a salad or meat and greens when I come home.

Does anyone else have this problem, any tips or advice please?

Hi

Its a shame your starving :( Have you tried pacing out your packs or splitting them up into 6? are you drinking enough water?

I do SS+ so some days i have the 200ml skimmed milk with a shake or a meal in the evening...it works for me and i cannot go without food lol the thought sends shivers down me :D

SS+ really is the same weight loss wise as SS in my opinion so go for it!

I do ss+, 4 packs and milk. I have a shake around 5ish when my son has his tea, really helps give me the energy for bath-time etc, then have my last pack for my 'tea' when I have put my little man to bed.
I also find a nice mug of coffee with skimmed milk gives me a boost,I have usually have one of mine mid-afternoon.

In 9 weeks on ss+ have officially lost 3st4.

Hi Becca

I have never done a test, but I can't see how I wouldn't be. I haven't ate anything for over 2 weeks now.

I do split my 3 meals over the day with porridge at 7.30, shake at 12.30 and bar or another shake at 5.30. I drink at least 4 pints of water a day.

4 pints...... isnt that much really... or do you mean litres?

I drink 4-5 litres per day and never ever feel 'hungry' are you drinking enough water i wonder x

Maybe thats were I'm going wrong I am drinking 4 pints of water plus a couple of black coffees

More liquid hun!

That lovely stuff we call water, 4 pints is about 1.5 litres.

I drink up to 4 litres a day.

Get yourself one of the 2.5 litre bottles of water and that way you can keep track of the amount of water.

Also i drink green tea just for a different taste and i was drinking it before anyway so if you enjoy black coffee keep on it just make sure your getting plenty of water

:D :D :D

Yes, the water does help. I also have 4 packs a day, I just couldn't cope on 3.
I do get momments of hunger. When I did lighterlife in the past we were told that this was psychological rather than physical, so this is what I tell myself. CD is so scientifically calculated to meet all my nutritious needs without me being hungry (or certainly without a level of hunger that causes distress) so the hunger must be in my head. This approach seems to work - I know its tough at times x

I have my shake 'whilst' cooking family tea. When I get in and go straight into food thoughts, I also struggle. So now its shake and coffee first, then tea for everyone else, they can wait the extra 5 mins.
I still find it fine to sit with them, another coffee!
You could try spliting this one as well, 1/2 whilst cooking and 1/2 with your family?
Good luck.

I have SS+ meals at the weekends and am quite happy with my weightloss. The losses seem to be fairly consistent across SS and SS+. It is better to select a plan that you can stick to than risk a relapse. Perhaps do a mix on SS and SS+ and have meals on the days you are really struggling.

4 pints of water is 2.2 litres...568mls in a pint...

The 'diet' recommends that in addition to your shakes, you should be consuming 2.25 litres ( 4pts ) of calorie free liquid throughout the day.

Are you having bars as well as shakes as they can make some people more hungry than others..

Whenever I feel 'peckish' I get a pint of water and sit and drink it.. normally the pangs have gone by the time I have finished the glass.

Hope that this helps

Hi

Still just stick stupid bits of food in my mouth when making dinner for the family, I was very stressed last night as my baby grandson had a convulsion and was taken in to hospital - thankfully it was just a virus - I don't know why I eat when I'm stressed. I have pledged to myself that for the next 4 days I am going to be 100% good.

I got some psyllan husks yesterday and put some in a shake last night - and they have made a difference (been suffering with constipation) already - sorry if tmi.

So here we go look out for a weight loss on Monday morning.
