Refeeding :)

Hi gang, not been about much (work, study, family stuff). I do hope everyone is doing really well? :D

no weigh in this weekend as yet again was not at home! But will weigh in on Saturday. Expect a small gain again due to exam stress-related snacking (mjainly chicken, in vague hope of not putting on too much weight, but it descended into less healthy stuff. that's all i can bring myself to divulge!!)

But this has led me to the decision to say, sod the goal, gimme healthy meals!

My mum is very pleased to hear I'll be eating (properly!) again, she's so happy for me and proud of me. It's lovely.

Really looking forward to the healthy eating :)

hope to be back soon properly for a proper catch-up with the threads and all your lovely weigh ins.

hey Elle x
wondered where you were.

you are so close to goal now and what you have left to lose will be off in no time with your healthy eating.

you have come a very long way and have done an amazing job of losing weight.

wish you all the best x

You are so close to goal it really won't matter (imo!) if you change over to healthy eating now? You've done so amazingly well, and it's time to re-think where you're at when the picking starts to take over? At least if you have the 'choice' of what food to eat, hopefully you'll pick the healthy option?
Make sure all your 'fat' clothes are binned asap- don't keep ANY of them- especially elasticated waistbands- BIN THEM ALL!!!
There'll always be the easy option of going up a size if the lbs start to creep on again. I did this (binned the clothes that is! LOL!), and knowing my jeans are getting a little tight is enough of a nudge to get a grip & watch what/how much I'm eating.
Keep an eye on your portions and food choices & you'll be grand. Watch out for "well-meaning" friendas & relatives who say things like "But you've done so well, one slice of pizza/cake/lasagne etc. won't hurt?!"- it's a slippery slope!

Thanks guys!

you're put what i'm feeling into words so well! really looking forward to my grilled chicken and salad saturday night :)

fat clothes are all gone, the local charity shops have done extremely well (7 suits, 2 winter coats plus tonnes of other stuff!)

And i am hoping a few more pounds might come off with healthy eating...;)

Hey sweetie - glad to see you back on here and i think you are totally making the right decision :)

Your head isnt there anymore to do TFR and you are only 'cheating' yourself ... so grab refeed by the horns and get it sorted chick :)

When are you starting? Im starting monday so hop on over to the refeed section, post up yer menus etc and we'll help each other :) xxx

Again guys, thanks.

I fall into the trap of looking at *not* losing the whole 9 stone as a failure, forgetting the massive achievement of what I actually HAVE lost. Silly really. Very silly!

So looking forward to refeed and I will definitely be posting here more - got a fair few weigh ins to come yet.

You are right Tanya, my head's not in the right place to carry on with just the shakes.

I can only say to anyone else, DO NOT NIBBLE!! it can throw you seriously off course. I'm so glad I managed to have the willpower for so long. And a lot of the willpower will remain I am pretty positive. It's about learning to say no to the 2nd biscuit, and recognising that you don't 'need' that sandwich 30 minutes before dinner when you come in from work. ANd hopefully those lessons have really been learned...

Been thinking and looking out for you...I am VERY PLEASED you made your decision....look forward to seeing you on re-feed! You will do well - no worries there!

Have a great week!

I think that's definitely the right decision! You don't want to sabotage all you've learnt & achieved on LT. Besides, you've lost an amazing amount & I'm sure you can shed that last little bit with healthy eating if you want to.

Good luck!!! :)

Hannah

oh elle i've been wondering where you've been!

well done on making a tough choice, you WILL succeed because you REALLY want to.

you have done AMAZINGLY!! you have been on TFR the longest i've ever seen and your body could probably do with some food at some point soon! stay online for some support and you'll do grand!!

very proud of you :flowers:xxx

Elle-Emm! I was thinking about you! Good decision to refeed now. You've lost so much and you're a total inspiration to us all!

You seem in the right mindset to now bring on the healthy eating. Bring it on! You'll do fabulously! Keep remembering daily how much you've lost and what you've achieved. It's phenomenal!

Thank you for being one of people who inspired me to start LT. Reading about your weekly losses and your experiences has changed my life.

X

Good for you hun! i did tink from your last few posts that refeeding was the best decision for you and i totally know wat you mean bout if you dont lose everything on tfr you are a failure i totally see it like that as well but i amn't planning on losing the same as you and as you have said your heart just isnt in tfr which has become quite obvious.

Im delighted your refeeding coz i know we all will learn alot more from you(yes i know very selfish, haha) you are amazing and im sure them last few pounds will be off in no time. cant wait to read your refeed diary.
