I bought some things today to make a curry, never made one myself before (gulp)

I do red days..

I have Tesco, medium curry powder, chicken breasts, Tesco HL natural low fat yogurt (90%fat free) .. ( i also have in cupboard, garlic, herbs, stock)

How do i do this please? And what do i syn (if any)?

And what can i have with it, i save my other HEB for weetabix this eve, but i do have some butternut squash i could make chips with? (if you could also tell me how too lol)

Sorry for all questions, many thanks for help.. :)

I usually follow a SW recipe, which uses a bunch of different spices and stuff.

Do you have access to the website, as they have a curry recipe? Or check the thread above for one (you can search for curry too on here).

All I will say is when I do a curry I syn in the chicken for 7syns and have it on a green day so I can have rice. If you don't want rice, why not make some garlic mushrooms as a side?

Hey thanks, i wil defo have some mushrooms :)

I do have access to the site, but my password is wrong, I remember it as being apricot written on the board last weeks meeting.. ? sooo can't check ....

Okay, this is how I make a curry

Frylight some onion, garlic, chilli and ginger until soft. Add whatever meat I am using and and 2 tbsp medium curry powder and cook until meat is browned.
Then I add a tin of tomatoes and simmer until the meat is cooked.

You can add any other veg when cooking the onion, carrot, pepper, mushrooms for example and some spinach at the end of cooking is good too.

Your yoghurt needs to be fat free hun, the 90% fat one is synned. If you do add yoghurt, add it right at the end when the curry has been taken off the heat or it will curdle.

I serve mine with butternut squash roasted - just cut into chunks, put on a try, spray with fry light and roast at 200 for about 30 mins.

Enjoy your curry!

Thankyou J That is brill.... Can't wait now :)

Do you know how many syns the yogurt would be? It is Tesco light choices natural low fat yogurt (90% fat free)
