I've lost 1lb this week, which means I'm exactly at goal. Still planning to lose another stone though. I don't know what's going on with my losses at the moment, I'm not really impressed with how much I've averaged over the last five weeks really & am getting frustrated as I was thinking I'd have shifted that extra stone by the beginning of November which looks incredibly unlikely now! A couple of people have suggested I go out & have a super carby meal to kick-start my metabolism then go back onto LT, which if I was sure I'd be able to get straight back onto the shakes I might do, but...also, in all likelihood it would just be the glycogen stores I gained from eating that I lost, right? Hmm. Anyone have any suggestions? (Also, I'm aware I've had relatively big losses for the last two weeks so should probably stop moaning, heh).
& a little OT - I got a job yesterday! Wooh! It's in a gastro pub & luckily most of the food is meat (I'm veggie) but it still all looks absolutely lovely! The manager asked me if I wanted a large or medium sized shirt for my uniform, I went for large & I'm so pleased I did, it's absolutely tiny & I was so panicked when she brought it out that it wasn't going to fit! It made me realise that I either wouldn't have got the job when I was fat (I met a good ten people that work there & none of them are even "big") or would have had to wear a men's t-shirt which would have been humiliating. It's the small things that make the weight loss so rewarding - like avoiding painfully embarrassing situations. Heh. That said, because they've only just met me, when I told them I wouldn't be able to eat anything at the menu tasting session on Monday they looked so confused by why I'd be "starving" myself. Dammit, free, very yummy looking food & all I'll be able to do is sniff longingly!
Hope everyone's doing well! I'm off to dance classes now! Heh.
