Hiya

I am currently on cambridge diet and am really fed up!!! Been 5 weeks now and sick of the sight of the shakes, fancy some real food.

So I am posting on the boards for some advice please in deciding what to do next!!!

What is the weight loss like on this plan?

I will exercise 3-4 times a week (which I can't at the minute on the shakes, no energy)

How much do you reckon I could loose by xmas!!

Any other advice or inspiration as to why this diet is the best!!

Ha ha

come on sell it to me, pleaseeeeee.......

Very confused at the minute, although the weight loss is good it's not doing 'me' any good the way I am feeling.

Thanks eveyone love x x

Hi,

Well I have lost 11.5 lbs in three weeks and I have eaten loads of lovely food. I tried the Cambridge diet but only lasted a day, lol I like my food too much and I find that the SW plan seems more like something I could stick to after I have reached target.

As you have been on the Cambridge plan you might find when you start eating again it slows your losses a bit for a few weeks but I'm sure your body will soon adjust.

SW works. It's as simple as that! And the beauty of it is that you get to eat lots and lots of lovely food, you just control the treats and the bread/cereals/milk/cheese and similar foods.
It takes a bit to get your head around but by joining a group and getting all the info it doesn't take long to understand.
As for lossess - well, like most other diets, your first week you could lose anything up to 7lb (i've seen this happen!) but after that it will be 1-2 lb a week on average, depending on how well you lose weight and how much you have to lose. We have people who consistantly lose 2-3 lb a week and some who lose 1/2 a week but bear in mind - you are eating!
SW is not a quick fix, it is a sustainable way of eating for life and is definately a good plan for food lovers.
If you want an indepth explanation then read the sticky threads explaining the plans.
Hope this helps - good luck!

SW works as the others have said!

What's more, it's maintable and you can eat on it like no tomorrow (free foods are ACE).

I've lost 21.5lbs so far and a bit left to go. You will have bad weeks and good weeks, but it DOES work and we're all proof to that!

It's easy. You get to eat. You lose weight at a sensible rate. And you get to eat. You're putting lots of healthy, nutritious food into your body. Oh, and did I mention, you get to eat?! LOADS!

SW is brilliant. There are diets out there that suit different people, and SW isn't for everyone. However, if you stick with it, it works. It's the easiest plan I've ever done for fitting round your normal lifestyle. You can eat out and not feel like a weirdo for ordering a plain grilled chicken breast and a salad without dressing, or an egg-white omelette!

Exercise will really help you tone up and lose inches...and eating the SW way will give you the energy to exercise efficiently too. It's called Body Magic and is fab.

Oh, and us lot here in SW section of Minimins are seriously talkative :D

One thing that you will have to get into your head Hun, is that you wont get the losses that you have while on CD. 2-3lbs a week is achievable and more realistic. Your first week after coming off CD to SW is normally a gain or a stay the same. (This usually happens when going from shakes to food and is perfectly normal - I had this happen to me).
The best thing about SW is that you are eating everyday run of the mill things and still loosing weight. You are never, ever hungry (which happens with so many diets) and the plan is adaptable to suit the whole family.
Good luck if you choose this plan, I can assure you that you wont be disappointed!

I have lost 12lbs in just 4 weeks, and can honestly say I have never been hungry once, I have tried all the other diets but would never get past a week, cos I would be so hungry. This diet really does work :)

SW works! I lost 3 stone the last time I did it about three yrs ago and got to target. Since then I had another baby and put a lot of the weight back on. Been back on the plan since april and lost 1 stone 3 sso far. Doing it a lot slower this time ie Im going out for meals still! It's a good plan if you like lots of food. Just have a look at the recipes section.x
