Hello everyone, I was wondering if you could help me.... here is todays entry from my food diary...

Erm... whoops, big whoops, very very big whoops for today!!!!

Up until 5pm all was going well

Breakfast - cereal HxB
snack - banana
Lunch - couscous with salad and extra light mayo (1 syn) and muller light
snack - pear and satsuma

THEN... discover I have a flat tyre whilst still at work. Can't change it myself due to my shoulders. Husband says he will come and change it with son (3 years old). By this time it is getting close to son's bedtime and he hasn't eaten. He says he wants a pizza. I go to the local shop while hubbie changes tyre to see if we can get a mini fresh pizza to put in the oven when we get back, but they have nothing. The we pass a takeaway....son sees picture of pizza.... I have never ever given him take away, but thought just once wouldn't matter. He ate some chips and then decided he was too full... leaving a 8 inch margarita pizza and some fried chips..... hubby ate half and I gave in as I was so hungry and it smelt soooooooooooooo yummy..........I had the other half. I dread to think how many syns it was. Think I am just going to have to be super good for the rest of the week!! Pants pants pants.

Although having said that, this is the longest I have ever stuck to a diet so far, so I just have to make myself go a bit longer from tonight :)

Do you think long term it will make a massive difference to my weight loss?

How many syns do you reckon was in the pizza and chips? Or do I just not want to know.

Also, friends coming on Saturday (one who is a fellow SW person) and they have decided that we are having a takeaway curry. My biggest problem is that I only like mushroom korma or chicken tikka masala with rice and naan. If I did have that how many syns would I be having.... or can anyone make a suggestion of what would be better, being that I only like 2 curries!!

Perhaps I just have to be good between now and then and accept tonight happened and Saturday will happen and then start afresh on Sunday!!!

Put today past you...It's done. try to calculate the syns and keep a track of it.
As for Saturday, there are loads of curry recipes on here or on the S website,,,,I am sure you can find one to suit your tastes..
We have a chicken tikka masala, rice and onion bhajis when we have a curry....I do extra easy so its all free.....
I'll put the recipe on here its so simple and tasty.

Syns per serving - original free - green 1.5 (add 6 syns if not using chicken as HE) Serves 4
salt and freshly milled black pepper
4 skinless chicken breasts
fry light
1 onion
3 garlic cloves
1/2tsp each crushed cardamom seeds and ground turmeric
1tbsp ground coriander
1tsp each ground ginger, cumin and chilli powder
1 level tbsp tomato puree
100g pot very low fat fromage frais
1 tbsp freshly chopped coriander

1- season the chicken and lightly spray with fry light. Place under a hot grill and cook for 8-10 mins on each side or until cooked through.
Remove from the grill and cut into bitesize pieces.
2-Meanwhile, peel and grate the onion and crush the garlic. Spray a pan with fry light and heat until hot. add the garlic, cardamom, turmeric, coriander, ginger, cmin and chilli powder and fry for 1 min.
Add the tomato puree and grated onion and continue frying for a further 3-4 mins.
3- Add the chicken to the pan along with 1/4 pint of water and cook for 5-6 mins. Stir in the fromage frais, season to taste and gently heat through. When hot stir in the fresh coriander.

This seems a bit long winded, but once you've done it you'll see it's quite straight forward...Lush too

Hope you like it
