Has anyone been told this?

He also told me swimming was a cardio exercise so i need to be careful how much swimming shud i be doin?

all my muscles were aching a little after the swim so mite stick wit dat an vibroplate and situps for a while maybe.

Others experiences really appreciated.

Hi Annemarie
Ive never heard of them needing a letter before, have they given you a induction? x

no the guy said he wudnt do anything with me coz he wud be afraid of pushing me into starvation mode. which i agree with he said that even weights wud be burning too much calories so he wants guidelines for what exactly im allowed to do. Think he's covering his own ass!

You now need to go for a lovely relaxing massage by a hunky fella to ease those aching muscles. That was on the LT bag, wasn't it? That's the rules!

No sweetie, I was never told to get a letter. I was told not to be training for a marathon (no chance anyway) I was also told not to do any cardio as I do enough running around all day. We are only on 450 calories. Our bodies could go into starvation mode, and our weight loss would slow down if we used up too many calories through vigorous exercise (too much cardio)

I do a lot of static weights and free weights, I also do lots of squats, bicep curls, abs ect on the vibro. People think that muscle weighs more than fat, so the scales won't show loss when exercising. This is a myth. Muscle weighs the same as fat. Muscle is just more dense. Also you can not build muscle while on a TFR diet. We do not have enough calories. We can sure tone up, and if we have underlying muscle it will pop up again. I've found this to be true, as I used to be quite muscley and I'm finding they're appearing again the more I tone.

If I was you I would buy some resistance bands and use them on the vibro. Buy a big ball and do some abdominals on that. Walk briskly every day. Don't over do it Anne-Marie. It'll not take much to tone little you up.

yeah it sounds like he is! im thinkin about joining a gym near me & never even thought that i would need to tell them that im on LT!! x

Well i wanted to be very careful as i am very weak sometimes so didnt want to push it! an they need to know wat kinds of tings you cant do coz cardio is totally out for this diet as it burns too much calories.

I do swimming once a week - about 40-50 lengths. I have got some resistance bands for toning and have also got my own cardio machine that I go on sometimes. If doing cardio I go at a relatively slow speed but for a longish time - much like the swimming - somehow that burns fat but without putting you into starvation mode.

I didnt realise you cudnt build muscle on this mad thanks for the tip. Resistance bands wat r they? i know im silly. i have material things on the vibroplate that i pull towards me to tone my arms and stuff. Ill try my ball out again see if i can do a good bit on that. How many times and for how long wud you exercise a week? sorry about all the questions.

I guess I just love swimming - always have been a good swimmer no matter what my size - after all fat floats !!! lol

If you've got straps on your vibro then that's even better! Nice one. Hold on a minute, I'm off to find a link to great exercises for the vibro.

YouTube - Power Plate Exercises Pt I

There are 4 or 5 videos. They are great! Go through them and do them and you'll feel the benefit pretty quickly.

Yeah I was surprised about the muscle thing! Apparently we also don't receive enough protein. You should read up about it. Very interesting.

The ball is fantastic as it supports your back. Even putting the ball against the wall and doing squats is great.

I go to the gym every day apart from Sunday. I do static and free weights for about a hour. I go around each machine/weight twice. I also do a sneaky warm up/cool down on the treadmill for 15 minutes, just brisk walking. I do alternate days. The next day I go to the vibro plate. I do a series of warm ups, stretches and exercises, then my favourite bit - massage. This lasts about 20-30 minutes. That's more than enough for me.

Haha I love swimming but don't have the balls to buy a swimming suit :( I miss out on so much because I'm fat.

Good for you Jools, I'd love to have your confidence.

Thanks so much i found them videos on youtube a few weeks ok brilliant they are can actually feel it after which i cudnt before.

Yeah, you really need to do the exercises to reap the benefit of the bigger machines. I'm sure just standing and holding on works also, but you really feel as if you've did something if you do those exercises.

Well i dont know how you manage excersise at all! I honestly feel dizzy and lightheaded after a bit of cleaning at home or even standing up too fast!
