Dumplings!!!

Hey folks,

My mum makes a mean pea and ham broth with dumplings at this time of year so we have decided to make one together and make it SW friendly.

I can get the pot herbs from my local market and can cook the ham shank or use gammon for the 'ham' but im struggling on the dumpling front.

Is it easier to buy a packet of suet dumpling mix and syn each dumpling or does anyone have any ideas for a low syn dumpling mixture?

Thanks

In the past I've used the Atora herby dumpling mix and synned them. The packet makes 8 at 5 syns each but I made 16 smaller ones and had 2 so I didn't feel robbed!
Lots of syns but well worth it. We've been having casserole a bit lately so I must invest in some more of this!

Even the lof fat Atora is 9 1/2 syns for a measly 28gms!! I 've just looked it up on line becuase I love dumplings x

donnie has posted one up in the recipe section which uses couscous for the dumplings its under the winter stew and dumplings if thats any help
