This is the conversation in our house!

This is the conversation this morning. Hannah is 9 yeas old!

Me: Hannah come on sweetheart.

Hannah: OK

Me: Come on sweetheart time is ticking on.

Me: Hananh step on poppet or you're gonna be late.

Hannah: Alright! Alright! You don't have to keep going on!!!

10 minutes later.

HAnnah is crying: Mum I'm gonna be late and it's all your fault

Me: Eh?

Hannah: You're my Mum and you're supposed to nag me in the morning. It's all your fault i'm late now!!

Me: AAAAGHHHHH!!!

Lol.....sounds about right!!!
I have a deal with my Daughter...no telly in the morning until she is dressed and hair done...she then has 10 mins of telly before we are out the door.

Take the shame! You let that poor child down! :D

My son is 14 and gets ready pretty well, but he takes ages tweaking his hair and making a huge knot in his ultra short tie...Ah, what it is to be young.
 
At least yours made sense, my little boys 20 months and our convo this morning was:
Christian "Mummy!"
Me "yes darling?"
C "Daddy!"
M "What about daddy?"
C "A wee wee!!"
M Daddys a wee wee? Poor Daddy"
C "Doo Doo!"
M " I cant see Douglas sweetheart" (one of the cats)
C "A wee wee!!"

This continued until he named all four cats, my dads dog, my parents and me. Then started all over.:D
 
Bless, I hate the mornings with my two aged 23 months and 6 going on 16! Callum, the eldest dresses himself which is great but everything else is done in an ultra slow fashion and elle, my youngest likes screaming and throwing things in the morning - particularly at Callum (and occassionally herself but only when eating breakfast fully dressed - breakfast is now eaten in PJ's). I find that the drive to work after dropping the kids off is a perfect oppurtunity to become human again!
 
i've been having terrible problems with my 9 year old in the mornings ( perhaps its an age thing) but someone suggested i try a timetable, so we sat together and wrote a list of everything she has to do in the morning, and so long as its all done by the time we have to leave the house its up to her what order she does them in, she seems to really love ticking of the jobs as she's done them-so far so good

Ooooh........... just wait 'til your kids have grown up ......... believe me, they get worse! .......... Now that 4/5 of them have their own kids though, it's great to see the wee ones winding their parents up now! lol ......... and "Nanna Jackie" here keeps the kids going with it all ....... it's a real laugh! - how wicked can I be? It's just nice to get my own back though!
 
And I just thought it was me!! My little girl is 4 and it must take 30 mins of nagging and threats to ring the teacher b4 she gets dressed!!
 
Pretty lucky with my 9 year old, He often is up before me and usually watches some tv and has a banana. Then I get up, put brekkie in front of him which he eats and at 8.30 he gets himself ready and heads off about 8.50 as we live next to school :D

.. yet ... I still usually faff about getting myself ready ... I think he needs to start nagging me!!!
 
Have you lot been round my house spying on me and my kids in the mornings? I could have written all these posts!
 
Well the aft thing is through all this my other daughter is laughing, and then, in the middle f Hannah crying she's going to be late she pipes up'well you will be late if you just stand there crying won't you?'. Great that really helped. Just what she wanted to hear from her little sister. Then I'm dressing my 7 year old like a blimmin manequin, not even realising I've done it until I'd finished. What we like?

Strange thing is Hannah is up first and straight in the shower. She's there for ages singing at the tiop of her voice, then just flafs around.

This thread is so funny my girls are 25 and 20 now but I used to have all the same problems, my youngest rhian has v curly hair and refused to let anyone brush it, it used to take ages to get them sorted. I am a nanna now and livvy is only 8 months but i am sure she will be as bad as her mummy was lol
