OMG just wrote loads and lost it all! Oh well, here it goes again......

Im Clare and I live with my daughter Faith who is 20 months old and my world. Having read some of your diaries, I decided I'd give it a go myself and hopefully it will help me too.

I split from my boyfriend of 10 years 6 weeks ago and Im ready for a whole new me now. I put on about 4 or 5 stone during our relationship due to takeaways and serving myself the same mansized potions as him for tea. However now its just me and my daughter at home I no longer buy the crisps and biscuits that I used to snack on and Im finding it much easier to be healthy.

Ive been doing Weight watchers for a few months and Ive managed to lose nearing a stone. I took Xenical for about a month last year and i did lose weight however I did not change my eating habits and had awful side effects :ashamed0005: However I now know what I did wrong I decided to give it another go.

Im kind of still following weight watchers however Im still bearing the 5% fat rule in mind. Not know how well the two will work together but its day 2 of Xenical for me and so far no side effects :worthy:

I really need to get exercising however as I live alone with my daughter its a bit tricky to go the gym and things. I do quite a bit of walking but does anyone have any suggestions for exercising with a 20 month old in toe, lol?

After reading some of your posts I been and bought some green tea (quite liked it) and some Quorn sausages!

Anyhoo, Ive waffled on a bit now. Would love some feedback on my diary if anyone finds it interesting, lol! If not, I think writing it will be good in itself.

Bye bye for now xxx

Hiya Clare-jo :D
Does your local council gym have a creche? If they do, could you maybe go along there with the wee one? In saying that, walking is free ( yep spoken like a true Scot ;) :D ). I have my wee nephew 3 days a week ( he's 20 months too), and I go loads of walking with him :)
xx

Good to see you started a diary hun!
I can empathise on the relationship ending, my husband left about 8 weeks ago after 12 years together:(. But you have your daughter by your side and you and her are all that matter now. I dont know what i would have done without my son to focus on:confused:

As for the exercise, do you not get enough running around after a toddler lol!? I say pop her in the buggy and walk your socks off! It is rather difficult, id love to walk in the evenings but little one in bed means im housebound!

Anyway, ive waffled on enough! I hope you are finding xen ok, keep posting, the forum are a friendly bunch, they keep me sane! x

hey hun!

sorry to hear about your break up! i love your daughters name its very pretty!

i have seen a few fittness dvds in the pound shops lately! I know they r not top of the charts or anything but they still serve the same purpose! I have two small kiddies and its a real pain getting childcare and go to the gym! I often go at 8 o clock at night!

I did try doing weight watchers when i started and found i just couldnt get on with it! It was far too much hassle countin points and fat and the 5g rule!

good luck on your journey! post lots!

love katie

Thanks for taking an interest ladies.

Thanks Katie, I love her name too!

Dont think my Council gym do have a creche. That would be great though. I suppose I will just do plenty of walking for now and try and blackmail my brother or sister to do some babysitting for me.

Done a bit of walking today and when I go back I was absolutely sweating! Cant wait to be able to walk a good distance without breaking into a sweat lol!

I agree Abby, having Faith around has made the break up so much easier. Im sorry to hear you've had a bad time too.

Took a sneaky peek on the scales this morning. Naughty I know, but Ive lost 2 pounds since Tuesday, yay!! Im going to stay off the scales now though until Monday which will be my offical weigh in day.

As for weight watchers, Im afraid to stop it as Im useless at calorie counting and find counting weight watchers points easy as Ive been on and off the diet for years. I'll just see how it goes, I may get fed up soon.

As for Xenical, no side effects at all so far which Im sooooo pleased about. I was terrible with them last time!

Anyhoo, Im off to have a nosey at everyones diaries

Thanks hunny, I hope your right!

Well did quite well yesterday. Had crumpets for brekkie, ww meal for dinner and quorn sausage casserole (idea pinched from Kae) which I really enjoyed. Although had a little snack before I went to bed. It was only a bowl of cereal though so at least it wasnt a biscuit or crisps.

Today is going well too, bowl of cereal for brekkie, ww soup and a slice of bread for dinner and havent decided on tea yet.

Going the dentist this afternoon for a bridge to replace a missing tooth. Wierdly I am quite excited. This tooth as been missing for a while and Ive been quite self conscious about it so it will give me some confidence back hopefully.

Off to have a nosey at your diaries.

Oh my god, havent been on here for a few days! Its been my birthday so Ive been busy but Ive stuck to my diet too. I lost 2.5lb last week, yay! Thats with drinking and eating party food on Saturday night at my friends daughters 18th. So I am quite pleased with myself.

Going out for a chinese and a night out on the town tomorrow night to celebrate my birthday. So I not think I will be taking any xenical tomorrow night. Having a night off for my birthday but I'll be straight back on track on Saturday!

The dentist was fine thanks Kae.

Hope everyone is well. Off to catch up with your diaries xx
