Hi
I'm starting Thursday and I'm going it alone until then. I want buy a bunch of packets of couscous/flavoured noodles/pasta&sauce either from Aldi or Tesco (preferably the cheapest).

Which brands and flavours are free or the lowest on green?

I buy the aldi couscous. It's half a syn per Packet. U get loads and are very filling. For pasta n sauses u can't beat batchulors. Just search the forum there's a full list of the syn values for them. Most are free or very low syns. For flavoured noodles I think u can buy 4 low fat super noodles for a £1 at tescos at the moment.

Hi :) I get the lemon & coriander couscous from tesco, it's delish (free) and tastes lovely hot or cold. I'll often use it as a salad with chickpeas, cucumber, cherry toms etc or with some salmon as a main meal.

I've just discovered Tesco's wild mushroom risotto -(1/2 syn per pack) really tasty and you can bulk it out with some veggies, extra mushrooms etc.

Batchelors low fat super noodles, 4 for £1 at Tesco
Batchelors pasta and sauce AND savoury rice 4 for £2 at Tesco

Morrisons Cous Cous, 4 for £2!
There is a mushroomone, spicy vegetables, lemon & corriander and not sure of the other kind but they are delicious!

Morrisons for savoury rice - 3 for 1.20
Iceland for pasta n sauce - 89p BOGOF beats 4 for 2 quid
I too go for the Aldi cous cous, you get more bang for your buck and the very small syn count means you won't go nuts and eat three packs in one go!

I was going to say iceland for pasta and sauce! Rocking deal!!

Also try ainsley harriott cous cous that is delicous and lots of diffrent flavours and mostly 1/2 syn per packet.
