Okay i think this will go in this section.

I had my first baby almost 11 months ago. and im finally starting to lose weight. My problem is my stomach has alot of really red big stretch marks from getting so huge! lol now what should i do to make them go down as i lose weight? Should i do sit ups to help them or should i just lose the weight..im kinda stuck. I rub stretchmark cream on them a couple times a day but it really doesnt work.

Bio oil works, should've strated from the moment you knew you're pregnant to avoid them.
Look on the bright side, I've never been pregnant and have stretch marks everywhere, on my tumy, back of my knees and even on my arms and shoulders. At least ur tummy will be hidden most of the year, while my arms (even a short sleeves one just above my elbow) would show my large faded stretch marks.
they'll fade away,if you're light skinned they'll even look more invisible if you put on a fake tan. just be persistant, could take anywhere from 3 to 6 months to see resutls.

I've got the same problem as you Buzzy, trying bio oil, hopefully it works. :) xx good luck!

I tried bio oil and it is good but found it pricey. Palmers cocoa butter has the same effect I find and it's cheaper.

How do you apply bio oil? I have stretch marks on my hips, back of my knees and thighs from losing weight. I bought some bio oil but can't really work out if I just rub it in or if I should be using a certain amount?

Hi all,
I know this is an oldish thread but I just wanted to add a word about a new alternative to Bio oil that I have been using recently. I've always raved about bio oil and I do think it has really helped my stretchmarks, but I've switched to a new one called Phytaoil.
It is all natural based, which Bio isn't, less greasy and contains rosehips which are proven to really help scars and stretchmarks- even after you have them!

Anyway, I really like it so wanted to share my discovery! Hope you are having some joy reducing them- bikini season should be a happy time for all us newly slimmer!
