Thought I'd post a few handy folds for nappies - whether they are full re-usable wrap styles, terries or muslins for newborns.

ah ha! you were right Mrs Hugs! the many rectangles of padded cotton I've been given are nappies! who knew! They just looked like thick tea towels to me. I thought cloth nappies were either Terry type or like 'bum genius', but after a quick google (trying to find out how to use a nappi-nippa) I stumbled across www.usednappies.co.uk and from that site alone I see that there are at least 30+ makes of nappy to chose from. My sister in law has used ones that have press studs and a changable insert, I will ask her what make they were and how she's got on with them

A lot of mums seem to cut up micro cloths or fleece blankets to make 'liners' that 'wick' the liquid away too - ;) tips I've been gathering up for months now! lol DH thinks I've gone mad I'm sure.
I bought bambino Mio nappies ages ago but they are not that highly recommended but then disposables never do the job 100% either so don't expect that.

I'll be adding some terries and some more muslins.
Oh and while we're talking about it, most mums seem to leave the bucket 'dry' and just put them nappies straight in the wash that way - though need to avoid fabric softener type soap powders as they weaken the nappy and absorbancy can be 'lost'. They add lavender oil etc directly to the bucket to cut out the 'smell' and some line the bucket with a large wash bag so can just transfer that way to machine. ;)
