Hi all,
I enjoy eggs, omelettes, poached, fried, scrambled, and boiled....

Today I have had 2 boiled eggs, and I was wondering if there was any healthy / unhealthy amount of Eggs you can have over a day/week.

I have a feeling you're not meant to have too many, but what is too many? And I'm not sure if I'm making it up also! lol

Don't get me wrong, I don't want to live on them and have 10 a day, but is every day too often?

Thanks, and sorry for rambling

There's been a few threads regarding eggs recently and as I said on one of those my hubby has had problems with high cholesterol for years and has had lots of advice regarding this issue over the years .... however, it turns out that the current advice is that a dozen or so eggs per week will not do any harm whatsoever! Good news I reckon, so I wouldn't worry about it at all! Go for it - get scrambling!

Depends whether you are prone to high cholesterol or not I would guess my OH has terrible cholesterol and the doc told him no mor ethen 6 in a week

But I was told because ive got perfect cholesterol i can have up 14 in any week and i looooove them too have them every other day for breakfast :gimi:

Recent medical research shows no link between eggs and high cholesterol so feel free to enjoy your eggs without worry :D

Ah you beat me to it...I've read that as well.

Most people don't actually realise how many eggs they eat anyway....look at the ingredients on the packet things you eat, seems to be in most things in some shape or form!

yep i can vouch for that one xx

I love eggs, have them boiled in the fridge ready to eat as a snack as I think they fill me up better than other foods. I tend to lose more weight when I eat more too. Just a theory.
