Hi everyone - well half way through week 1 and going well so far. If anyone has any tips or anything please let me know. Been reading all your threads and think this is a great place for support. My family think I'm mental going on this diet so not much support there. Although I am doing it with a friend so that's a great help! Hope to hear from some of you soon !:)

Hi Angela!

Welcome to the forum and to LT! Let me just say- it's the best thing you'll ever do! People may think you're crazy but they'll change their minds as they watch the weight drop off you. I found the first couple of weeks tough but I'm a total convert now- it honestly gets easier.

Tips-wise- drink plenty of water... I even find a cup of warm water a pleasant change!! I try to have my shakes later on to avoid that whole 'It's evening and I'm HUNGRY' situation. I think it's a case of listening to your body. Sometimes you might feel cold...or a bit down. Hot baths, early nights, chick flicks etc....they all help. And the BIGGEST help? Coming on here to chat about your highs (which there will be many of) and your lows (we ALL have them!)

Good luck and keep focused on your first WI!

Thanks so much! Finding the first week ok so far like any diet. Ive heard Week 2 is a real tester but really determined this time. Have first weigh in on Thursday morning so will let you know how I get on !

Hi Angela, Welcome!

When drinking your water, try to sip every 15mins, as this will help keep you hydrated and also help you go to the loo!
If you ever feel down, come on here where there is lots of great support that will help you tremendously.
Why not set yourself some mini goals? This will help keep you motivated, and you will feel great when you can tick them off one by one
Good Luck, we are all cheering you on!

Well done for taking the step to a new you. Once you get into it you will never look back! You are about the weight wise as I was I started just under 6 months ago, and have lost over 6stone. And the time has absolutely flown by. I found the first couple of weeks the hardest, but it gets so much easier after that. Once you have your first weigh in, that will really spur you on to carry on.

Keep drinking the water, and enjoy yourself!! Good luck and keep posting, it will help you stay motivated.

Angela, welcome and the very best of luck with your efforts. I think this forum is a great help. Agree with all the tips you have had. Water is my best friend as it is a big help.

tips:

sparkling water is a godsend, especially on social occasions, but also helps me feel fuller so i like it even more!
if you don't get on with black tea, make it really weak - not normal strength you'd have with milk
have the shakes with ice cold water and/or lots of crushed ice
stick to it 100% and you will get your reward :) and try not to have breaks if you can possibly help it...

best of british to you!

Welcome aboard the LT train Angela. LT is a miracle worker, and this forum is a life line. Everyone above me has it covered, great tips.

Keep strong and stay focused. Keep repeating in your head the reasons why you're doing this. Remember your doing this for you firstly, so anyone else's opinion doesn't matter. In a few weeks when you're a few stone lighter and beaming with health they will soon change their tune.

Keep posting and I'm looking forward to your first weigh in!

Ketosis probably hasn't kicked in yet Lizzie. It was day 6 before my hunger pangs properly disappeared. When they appear drink some water. Headaches at first are normal. It's your body withdrawing from sugar and carbs. Take a couple of paracetamol if they get unbearable.

Remember the first few yucky days don't last forever. When ketosis kicks in you'll feel like a new woman, and if you're like me you'll be bouncing off the walls with new found energy! You'll forget about the hunger pangs and headaches, and it will all be so worth it after your first weigh in.

You can make the shakes thick or thin, whichever you prefer. I crush some ice in the blender, take ice cold water from the fridge, add it to the crushed ice, add the LT powder and blend it together. Et voila - A LT slush puppy. I personally need to have it really cold.

Keep strong and keep at it and I guarantee after your first weigh in you and LT will be in love.

I work in a pharmacy, and run Lipotrim consultations and weigh in's. If there is anything you're struggling with, or don't know about. Just ask me :) Lots of people have success on the diet, it takes LOTS of will power but if you really want to do this for yourself, it will do it for you.

The first few days, you may have headaches, but that's just your body screaming for food. The diet is mainly liquid, but as soon as ketosis kicks in, you're body will use up all the stored fat for energy. Remember, the average adult calorie intake is 2000-2500 daily. With Lipotrim you're only getting around 600-800 calories per day. The more water you drink is key to your weightloss aswell. Before you go to the toilet AND after, have a glass of water. The same with your shakes/soup. If you keep replacing the fluids in your body you will feel a difference. The water intake is key to staying regular aswell, as lipotrim can cause constipation. I'm sure you've heard of Fibre Clear. You don't need it, if you just drink plenty of water.

But i assure you. I weigh people every week, and providing you don't cheat (if you do, cheat with protein, not carbs. And the damage will be less, and easier to burn off). When you get to your target weight there is a maintenance programme that you can follow aswell. Different things again, to your shake/bar/soup. There is a mousse, summer fruits etc. Alternatively, most people think they've spent too much much the time they get to their 'goal' weight, so if you dont really want to fork out the money for the maintenance programme, having a shake/soup morning and noon, then a meal at night is fine. Introduce carbs (such as rice, bread, pasta) slowly though. The following week, cut one shake out and have a healthy lunch, and the week after, plan breakfast.

But if you really want to lose the weight, you'll do it no problem on Lipotrim. If you have any questions, you know where i am :)

OMG I can't believe how lovely, friendly and supportive people are in here! I'm so glad I stumbled across this site. I'm looking at all your weight losses and thats encouragement enough to keep going. I'm drinking loads of water and the hunger pangs have definitely subsided. Feel very energetic for some reason. Ok won't be on here until after Thursday my first WI. Thank you sooooo much girls from isolated Donegal in Ireland :)

My top tip is pure green tea. Lots of anti oxidents, so very good for you. I have 3-4 small cups a day, with 1 or 2 sweeteners in them, make a nice change from water, whilst still getting my water intake! good luck on your LT Journey!!
