Hey Everyone I'm Kat :wavey:
I joined Min
mins ages ago, I didnt post much and as it turned out I didnt get on very well with ww either, I have pretty much been overweight my entire adult life and have tried every Diet, Patch and Potion going, CD always felt out of my reach as far as finance was concerned (stupid really im sure I spent more on food and alcohol a week) Well last night I took the big step of meeting with a CDC, had the shock of my life when I stood on the scales but today I start my CD journey to a first time ever slim me :D at the moment I am feeling really positive, especially as people keep telling me im stupid (my bmi is 39 so I'm not stupid) and should try ww or sw again,it's making me even more determined to do this, Looking forward to getting to know you all

Hey Welcome and good luck hon get through the first few days and see a rapid difference and you will do this. The big losses spur you on and you know its worth it.

you are so welcome babe. good luck on your journey. i could tell you the Syn value of pretty much everything i know the SW diet inside and out. Hell i could be a SW consultant with my knowledge on the subject BUT i also know how to cheat it and clearly it didn't work for me. CD works because you can't cheat it.cost wise it probably cheaper then buying all the food you eat on SW or WW.

Like Babycake I've been on SW, not lost much and come off, also WW, Atkins, I've done them all. With CD it's a different story because you see the loss really quickly it makes you stick with it. Ignore those people that say try a slower diet, what do they know, stick with this and you will be a slimmy in no time. Good luck x

now can anyone advise on the best/nicest shakes or soups, I'm really hoping I made bad choices and some are okay, or I will just get used to them :)
ok I'm a fussy eater and turn my nose up at loads of stuff so I just took one of each flavor from my CDC, as I figure it's going to be s challenge however I look at it (no pizza flavor lol) anyway I had the cheese and broc soup for lunch wasn't too bad but had an odd aftertaste, really craving a milky coffee so used half a cappachino one, again the aftertaste, do any of them have less of it or please tell me I will not notice it after a while? Lol

Hi and welcome - I too have tried every diet going over the last 30 years and have never had results like CD, so you are making a good choice!

When I started I began with a limited number of the various shakes, partly to see what I liked and also so that I could try different flavours as time went by to ring the changes. My fave shakes are choc mint, choc, strawberry, butterscotch (as mousse) and toffee & walnut (as mousse). I love the choc and banana tetras. My fave bars are chocolate, orange, cranberry and peanut. I only tried one soup - broc and cheese and thought it disgusting - in fact CD are stopping making that flavour. I thought it so horrid it put me off trying any others. I also hated the porridge.

HOWEVER, we all have different tastes and some of the things I hate most are other peoples favourites! It's all trial and error and if your CDC is as good as mine if you've ordered some you don't like she'll change them for you.

Hi, the first few days as you probably know are had but it gets much easier and the weight loss is fab. Its a bit trial and error with the shakes etc but you should be able to swap if you get a flavour that you hate. great support on this forum.

You survived the cheese and broccoli soup. You can survive ANYTHING!

I usually get all chocolate tetras. I am muchos boring! Choc mint is nice and vanilla is nice with coffee.

As for the aftertaste, I'm sure thats the vits and minerals you're tasting. You probably won't taste it in a few days cause your body will have the proper levels of everything! :)

You're doing great! Keep going. Glug glug glug....don't forget the water!!

I'm pretty good with the water, I drink buckets loads anyway, mmm may have the vanilla with coffee tomorrow, thats what I have found the hardest today, I never realised quite how much coffee I drank before today :)
oh and if the cheese and broccoli is the worst it gets I'm happy :)
