Sick of feeling hungry at the moment

Bloody hell another hungry day. All I've done really today is sit in front of the telly at my mum's house watching the Touring Cars while talking to my mum about her holiday. Kids have been running riot, good for them :D

Anyway, feeling madly hungry. For my dinner tonight I've had tuna, and I ended up banging a can of sweetcorn in to bulk it out, so I've probably had about 200 cals more than I should have today.

Yes, I know it's only 200 cals and it's only sweetcorn where it could have been crisps ot something, but I can't keep doing this every time :(

I can usually ignore the hunger pangs, and hopefully I can keep doing so for the next four weeks when (hopefully) I'll start moving up the plans. Mind, that's relying on a 6lb a week loss which, ok, I've generally managed so far but I'd be daft to think I can definately keep that up. I'm not sure how my body has managed it so far, it's been a minor miracle so I can't rely on that happening every week. And how are things going to be when I do move up; still hungry? I could understand it if I'd been to the gym every day but it was only three times last week, and not since Friday, I've had a real couch potato day today...

Grr, sorry for the mini stream of consciousness, just felt the need to post...

Just a though, Jim, my CDC mentioned that if I continue to get hungry about increasing the protein? I dunno, but you maybe better off having double the tuna and skipping the sweetcorn? She suggested things like adding cottage cheese to a mousse to make it cheesecakey- chicken to a soup?

Hi Jim,

I had a really hungry day too. I think it means a good loss is on the way.

Just looking at your ticker.... you have done really well! Moving uo the plans is sure to help with the hunger pangs. And some days are better than others.

I find weekends the hardest anyway.

Talk to your CDC to see what can be tried.

Your almost there.....

Jim,

Look at all you have done and only 20 to go! That's wonderful progress. Try doing something when you get hungry - something to take your mind off it (but have a big drink first).
Good luck. You will get there.

Sorry to hear that it been a hungry day for you Jim. Weekends are difficult, I seem to have developed a pattern of doing lots to tire myself out on a Saturday and then having a lie-in and a lazy Sunday but I never know when a hungry day will strike or how to deal with it. I am dreading moving up the plans, I feel at the momment there is a certain safety in having my 4 packs a day.
Don't woory about the sweetcorn, put it behind you. The suggestion to up the protein intake (for example, have extra tuna if you feel that you need to eat something) does seem sensible, perhaps a CD counsellor will have a view.
Good Luck for tommorow, it seems the way forward is to take it day by day.

Yeah, that protein idea could be the way to go I think! Not overly arsed about the sweetcorn TBH, it's low enough in calories and carbs ain't too bad, it's more the hunger is annoying though it has subsided now as I've had a good drink of water and I've been playing Lego Star Wars on the Wii to take my mind off lol. Can't have the boy being better at it than me ;) Plus Mrs LJ should be home soon, hate it when she's working on an evening :(

Just gotta look forward to the rest of the week now:

Pay day tomorrow (YAY!)
but it's an expensive month last month due to the holiday so most of it is accounted for lol (BOO)
Haircut tomorrow, it's getting mop-like again (YAY)
gym Tuesday (YAY)
and I know it's a bit nerdy, but... I'm picking up a telescope I'll be looking after and it's a beast :D So I'm hoping for a clear night Tuesday night so I can give it a try

That's something BTW, I'm feeling the cold a lot more since I lost a load of body fat lol

Yeah, weekends are hardest for me too, but mainly I think because I'm always out and don't get the water I should do; I've moaned about that on here in the past. It's probably the problem today, though I was getting the pangs a a few days ago during the week?

I feel the cold a lot too!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think we will get used to it. I hope!! lol. The extra protein sounds like a good idea. Hope the hunger passes LJ x x
