Now think of 5 things that you think you will love best about being slim.

1. Being able to buy off the peg clothes and not having to try them on to see if they will look ok, cos you know they will:)
2. A 2 fingers up to all those who doubted I could do it
3. Being able to fit through that gap without thinking, I better go around it just in case
4. Being classed as 'normal'
5. Feeling sexy, and confident in my skin

Dunno yet - I'd like to think all the above but can't imagine it being that simple after years of looking in the mirror and hating what I see! Jaylou? over to you... is it all hello birds hello trees and everyone fancies you then? :p

1. Being able to leave my Mobility Scooter at home when I go out.
2. To have pride and self confidence in myself again.
3. Buying and wearing lovely fashionable and well fitting clothes.
4. To make my DH proud when he is out with me.
5. To take my dog for a walk.

Okay Vixxster, here it is! I still have hang ups, I still think I'm overweight, I still swoon when I pick up a 12 or even a 10 in the shops and I still moan about my belly but I've posted under my 5 things I hate post about what I love!

1. I couldn't enjoy food in public, I always felt like I should eat salad and then trough cakes behind closed doors.

I can now enjoy my rocky road with my skinny latte and not feel everyone is staring thinking "no wonder she's fat"

2. Thigh chaffing - for the reasons Hellie said

No redness and no worn jeans!

3. Always being the fat friend :-(

Now I'm as slim (sometimes slimmer) than my friends and can borrow their posh frocks!

4. Not feeling confident naked in front of OH

Cue naked strutting round the bedroom.....

5. Not so magic knickers, shaper tights, body shaper swimming cossies - all just put the fat in other places!

Clothes are much much more of a pleasure now.

Oh hun I think that even if I got to be a size 10 (double swoon with a syn free cherry on top) i'd still have hang ups about my weight - which is why I don't think I could answer this post.

You're awesome for getting to your target and maintaining and still coming on here and sharing in the SW life marathon. I only hope I can do it if and when I get there too!

Thanks mate, you are a star!
I come on here cos I'm still on the "diet", I'm still following the plan and constantly go up and down.
I love it!

Awesome thread!

here's mine... although when reviewing mine they do seem rather shallow and self absorbed.... *takes good hard look at self & ends up frowning*

1) Cankles! I hate my cankles....
2) I feel like a prize turkey in sexy undies = only worn very occasionally. Poor Hubs :(
3) Hearing the line 'yes but you're tall & big boned though arent you?!'
4) Short pretty frilly summery dresses. I WANNA BE ABLE TO WEAR THEM!!!
5) Beach/ Swim wear.... nuff said!

oops... wrong thread... missed the boat a tad there! Sorry...

For me it will be:
1 - being an 8 on top and 10 on the bottom and being able to just buy clothes without having to try them on!
2 - increasing my HEB's - mmmmmm 3 weetabix instead of 2 - yay! lol
3 - wearing a sports support bra when im back at Thai boxing and just shorts - no baggy t-shirt to cover me up
4 - relaxing on the beach without being concious of every single angle i think i look fat at
5 - being a personal trainer and having my clients aspire to be like me

1. Wandering into a 'skinny minnie' shop and being able to buy actual clothes, not just bags or jewellery
2. Just feeling comfortable, no worries about clingy clothes or flub rolls
3. Not being the fat friend
4. Having confidence
5. Accepting compliments and feeling i deserve them

I think, even though I am 12 now, I will always, always be a fat bird. Always!

I feel fat all the time. People say that I'm "so slim" now, but that's not how I feel.

However...I am so definitely thinner. I was a 20. I'm now a 12. So I will have a go at answering although I am finding it hard!

  1. Being able to shop anywhere I choose, even designer stuff!
  2. Fitting in with my gorgeous, slim friends. I no longer feel like I'm being stared at for being the fat friend (by other people) when I'm out with them.
  3. A general feeling of confidence, not just fake 'bubbliness'
  4. Eating in public without that fear.
  5. Being proud of myself that I'm healthy and looking after my body...not wracked with guilt about being fat, unfit and unhealthy.

Yep, I like this one - I can relate to lots on this thread - I used to be called "skinny malinky" way back, 30 years or so ago ........... I wish I could over-hear someone call me that now! I'm NEARLY at target so, here goes ...... 5 things I'll love about being slim -

1 - going into Evans and ONLY finding bags & jewellery I can wear Yep - doing this now!

2 - Picking up a size 10 & a size 12 and getting them on, these choosing which one looks best Yep - doing this now AND I don't feel paranoid that people are thinking "in yer dreams!"

3 - Borrowing my daughters clothes, and feeling good in them Yep - doing this now AND all 4 daughters tell me the honest truth about what I look like (Hmmm... not always good though) lol

4 - Being able to wear sexy matching under sets again, and feel good in them Well ... I wear them ... still working on the feeling good in them bit, but hubby seems to like them all - he even leads me in that direction in the shops now!

5 - Not seeing my mother when I look at myself in the mirror - Yep .... I've certainly managed this one ..... thank goodness - lol

Well that's the 5 from the top of my head at the mo .... there's loads more though!;)

Best o'luck'n'stuff to everyone else out there!
