I'm Returner and Need Support!

Hi Everyone,

I am returning to CD SS after losing 2.5stones in May 2009. Now here I am again to finish the rest of my journey. I went over to the darker side and came to a halt with CD when the school holidays came about, then birthdays and so forth and everything just became one big excuse! I didn't even attempt to start during the summer hols as I can't cook that many times a day and resist.

So basically, I just want some encouragement and help along the way and hopefully I will bump into a few familiar people!

I will update my weight stats again after I visit my CDC of Friday. I'm dreading it but at least I'm doing something about it, right?

I am just trying to get a meeting with my CD lady to start again too. I lost 2 stone on it a few months back and still have another 7 stone to loose. Would be great if I could loose another 4 by December but maybe I am not being realistic ! I turn 30 in December and want to look and feel a hell of a lot better for it.

Hey, I met my CDC yesterday and she seems nice. I weighed at 14st 2lbs. I was a little gutted cos my scales have been playing up and saying I am in the 13's (stone I mean). Anyway I want to be 10st 7lbs and my new journey has begun.

I'm on day 5 now and feeling good. I've decided not to be stubborn, I just need to put my head down and just get on with the diet. Do you guys feel the same? I know I have socialised before while on the diet but I never did reach my target!

Sarah (Diet4-40), are you on the diet and if so how long have you been doing it? Thanks for your post. I haven't checked this thread cos I gave up hope of anyone posting anything. My friends and family know I'm doing the diet but they don't know what I am going through like the people on her so here I am!
So are you a returner too?

Kelsbel -Kel, maybe we can restart our journey together and support each other? I really need to talk about this diet cos that is all I'm thinking about at the moment!
Regarding you losing 4st by xmas, I think you should expect to lose 2st and then when you do lose more, it will be a bonus!
Did you get to meet your CDC?

Nice to hear that someone is doing the same. I am meeting with my CDC on Wednesday but starting the diet tomorrow as have a few shakes left from last time. I have around 5.5 stone to loose now which will get me to 12 stone and then will see how I look and feel then to see if I need to loose more. Your prob right about setting 2 stone otherwise I may be aiming to high but fingers crossed it will be more. How are you feeling now? I know its normally 4 days of feeling pretty low then ok after that. Sounds like we are similar thats all I will ever be thinking about is the diet so its good to talk to someone thats going through the same. I think the hardest thing for me will be socialising too, all my group of friends go out drinking I dont want to cut myself off from them but dont want temptation either. Have to keep remembering the bigger picture and how much better I will feel. Anyway hope to hear from you soon

Hi Kel,

Things are going well for me thanks. I must have reached ketosis cos I spent the entire day cleaning my dining room which has been absolute chaos for over a year now. My main reason for doing it was due to envisaging myself sitting there with my partner and friends, entertaining and looking good after losing all my weight! Anyway the dining room does look great now and finally I have haven for myself when the kids are watching Hannah Montana for the 10th time!!!

Day 6 for me and I am anxious to get weighed as I suppose we all are. It's not the wanting to get weighed, it's the willing time to go faster! We all do it, right?!

I have to go to my mum's today and like we have said before, I just need to keep my head down and not be tempted by my mothers evil cooking! Lol. I really don't mind not socialising during this diet because I'm a very homely person anyway (due to having a 4 year old and a nearly 6 year old) so I really don't mind if I don't go anywhere.

So you up for being CD Buddies, oh and anyone else that wants to join in! It is really nice to share experiences with people who know exactly what you are going through. I always think if I spoke to some people about it they would just be thinking "well why don't you just control what you eat and diet and exercise the sensible way" but we have to do what is right for us. Also a balanced diet and exercise only works when you are trying to maintain but not so much for losing weight.

So are you returning to your previous CDC or have you chosen a new one?

Lovely to hear back from you, yes CD Buddies for sure although bare with me as I am still trying to work round getting used to the website but I will get there.
Well done we sound the same the last time I was on cambridge I was keeping myself occupied my clean clean cleaning sorted out stuff always up to something as you have so much energy and want to keep your mind off things.
Sounds like your doing great and yes I am always thinking roll on weigh in day. When do you get weighed next you will have to keep me posted on how you get on?
I have gone back to the same CDC as she comes to my house straight from work which is handy.
I am off round the mother in laws today but starting cambridge tomorrow.
I wish you all the luck round your mums today keep your head high and imagine how u will feel after being weighed xxx
 
Yes Kel, I have many things I wish to accomplish around the house. My next mission is to semi take apart my wardrobe, enough to move across the room. Please keep bugging me to do this as it's a daunting job but could be very rewarding for me by having lots more space in my room!

You CDC sounds great. I wish I had found someone that would come to the house too. My week 1 weigh in, will be on Wednesday too! I'll be posting the second I get home!

I've already decided that if it gets too much at my mum's, I will just return home using "the kids have to get up for school" excuse. My mum is very understanding but I have cousins coming over as my brother's wife gave birth to lovely baby Dylan 13 days ago! So unfortunately we have a lot of family and friends planning to come over during the next few weeks.

Oh well, enjoy it at your mother in laws, eat sensibly as you plan to start tomorrow, it'll only makes things easier tomorrow and the week ahead!

Hi all, I am a restarter too!
I have lost a couple of stone twice before with CD but then think I can do it on my own (I can't!) and end up back to square one - so here I am again, determined to reach goal this time. I have got about 4ish stone to lose.
I am on day 3 now and still feeling quite positive it hasn't been too hard so far!!! I was really looking forward to trying the porridge but the jury is still out on that one!!!

Hi All, I survived the afternoon at my mum's without giving in and tasting her lovely cooking. Really, I must deserve to lose a few extra pounds after going through such a difficult experience!! Only if it worked in that way!

So I've been good and now I just need to get through the next three days as my other half is here and here doesn't know that I am on the diet! He would just moan at me about how I need the energy and I have two children to look after. It's just easier and seeing as we only see each other for a couple of days a week (due to him living 70miles away from me) I can mostly get away with it. I know people will say he needs to be more supportive but I've been through CD before without telling him and it really is something I accept.

I mentioned in my earlier post that I cleaned out all my dining room on Saturday, well today I have rearranged my whole bedroom! Come on ketosis!

Mastermind, please feel free to come and express yourself in anyway. I would like to have a support network available here as not everyone is always able to get online everyday. So are you using the ketostix? Be sure to post your WI results on Friday!

Berryred, I know what you mean. I'm also soooo fed up of being overweight! And as we know, only we can do something about our weight, no one else.

So is anyone planning on doing any exercise while on CD?

Well done Sonya on your day round your mums that must have been hard so glad you got through it.
Well my first day is out of the way, I have just changed my orders for this week to have some soups and porridge in hoping thats the right thing to do!
Hope everyone is ok and great to keep talking as like you say its nice to have people that understand what we are going through.

Kel, I'm so pleased that your first day went well. :)
So you are having an assortment of soups, porridges and shakes right? I'm so boring as all I have is the chocolate tetras oh and the sunshine orange I love.

After my experience with CD last time I now know what to expect. So therefore I have been taking fibre 89 (I think that's right) and my stomach has not been so bad at all. That's where I think the water consumption is important.

Hey xKatiex, welcome back! How are you feeling? You did great to lose all the weight before and here you are to finish the rest like me.

So what day is your weigh in?

I've had my first shake and I'm now on my second litre of water. Yay, each day we are getting closer to goal!

Thought I would say hi and express that struggled today and only on day 2! I know it will get easier but been feeling really low at work dont think it helps that TOTM! Just wanted food but have got myself through it. Hope all is going well for everyone, keep us posted on your weigh ins. x
