Back again

Hi all
This is my 3rd time on SW, this time I have joined the on line version as can't make it to meetings regulally (shift work).
Anyway.....
Questions - roughly what is the weight loss per week?
and does it still work if you cheat on syns every now and again?
It just seems like a HUGE amount to eat and I am constantly full! Will I still lose weight when if I am just grazing all day long on free food?
I am following the green plan as I am a veggie (have fish every now and again), but I have food intolerances to rice and pasta, so I am mainly eating loads of beans, chick peas etc, veggies and potato. Not a big fan of fruit but I will have the odd banana or apple.
I need motivation and I'm hoping to get it on this forum, so please feel free to kick my butt!!

Welcome to Minimins. I'm sure you'll find all the support you need here.

The average weight loss varies wildly from person to person. The general rule is, the less you have to lose the slower it comes off. If you're looking at a 10lbs to lose, as your name suggests, then half a lb or 1lb would be fine and a good rate to lose at! It might go more quickly or you might have weeks where you stay the same but if you stick with the plan, it will work.

There is some flexibility with syns, but if you cheat, you're only really cheating yourself. A lot of us here cut down some days (but go no lower than 5 a day) and save a few to eat at the weekend. If you've joined online, have a read about Flexi Syns as well.

Yes, you can eat free foods freely - that's the beauty of it! However, what we do say is...eat until you're satisfied. Eat to your appetite. If you're peckish, have something free...carrot sticks, or if you can get yourself into fruit then that's ideal. Having lots of beans is really good for you and you should find green brilliant. Make sure you have your healthy extras - both A and B choices are important for you.

So...good luck! I am sure you'll do well if you stick with it. Drink lots of water/no added sugar cordial too, and if you can get a bit of exercise, that helps!
