Changed my target - again!

I initially changed my target as I thought it was perhaps unobtainable but when I looked at it this morning I thought I need to lose a lot more than 5 pounds so I changed it to 9 1/2 stone. When I get near that I'll decide whether I'll stick to that or lower it to my original 9 stone!
If I find 9 1/2 too difficult I may change again!
Do others do this? Is anyone else a bit undecided like me?
 
i think when you get there you will know,i had a figure in my head of 9 and a half but was quite happy when i hit 9 stone 10 and was deciding wether to set target at that but now i put some on cause i went away all inclusive.i think when your clothes fit the way you want and you feel good then set your target numbers are nothing
 
I've set a preliminary target at 10st 13. Just cos I want to be in the 10's again, but when I get there, I'll see how I feel. 10 st 7 sounds good and should be achievable, but till I get somewhere close I just can't visualise myself.
 
I have in my head target of 9 1/2 and that is where I am aiming (most of the time!)

People keep saying to me at weigh in - 'oh you must be nearly at target now'

I am struggling a little to loose this last bit, but it seems like cheating myself to move my target. I suspect Kazpeza is right both you and I will know when we get there Malaika.
 
I've also set myself a target of 9½ stone...but people are also saying to me 'oh surely you don't want to lose any more?' and 'don't get too thin!' I'm getting those kind of comments now...and I'm still a stone away from 9½! So, I'd like to get to 9.10, just so that I am well into the 9s (it's my dream to be 9-something!) and then see if I do need to lose a couple more to get to 9.7.

My consultant deliberately doesn't set targets with people when they join for this very reason. It's hard to know how you're going to look/feel when you get down to the 'healthy weight' range, especially if you've quite a lot to lose in the first place and don't really know what your body looks like slim! She sets interim targets and then, when people get nearer that, she discusses what actual targets they want, and I think it works well.

You see how you feel when you get there...and remember it's up to you, not what others say you should look like ;) x
 
You will know when you reach a weight you are happy with. My original target was 10 1/2 stone but when I got there I felt too big and dropped it to 10 stone. I'm happy (ish) at 10 stone, I feel good and I'm a comfy size 12. However, if I go up to 10st3 I feel hefty and at 9st12 I feel fab! I would say that 9 1/2 stone would be my perfect weight but it would be tough to get there and if I can get my weight back down to 9st 12 I'll be happy! That 5lb makes a massive difference to me.

Hope that makes some sense, I guess what I'm trying to say is don't worry too much about the numbers, you will feel right when you get there!
