Cambridge & Diet Chef

Would this work? A day on Cambridge SS (about 450 cals) alternated by a day on Diet Chef(about 1300).

This might help me to control my eating and portion sizes.

I shouldnt think so. SS on Cambridge from what I know relies on you to be in ketosis, which I dont think youll get from eating 1300 cals.

Could prove very expensive for you too buying both sets of products

You could definitely use cd on a down day, they say that shakes/bars are a great way of making sure you don't go over the 500 cal limit. But on an up day you would need to be eating more than 1300 cals, more like 2000 at least for this plan to work effectively and for you not to feel hungry and ill. Just eating normally, sensibly, still chosing healthy options and not over doing it, is all that's needed on an up day :)

As stirky says you can def use use CD packs for a DD, so you can mix two diets.

Dr Johnson ever recommends slim fast for down days for the first two weeks. I wouldn't waste your money on DC, just eat normally.

It def works I lost 7lbs this week and on my first down day I use my shakes and will do tomorrow. I was a serial binger but something changes on this diet and I dont binge...not sure why just yet:confused::)

Starlight, thanks for reply but I thought that was what JUDD was mixing low days with higher days. Also Stirky, I could just add some more food on an up day? Could I?

Thanks Miss Jelly Tot, had you been doing CD right up until now? As 7lb is a good loss. I thought after CD it would be difficult to lose large amounts like that.

Also are you starving on your down days? Is it like Day 1 on CD?

Yes that would be another option. You could perhaps add a pudding and snacks. I think the reason they tell you to eat 'normally' (I hate that word as whats normal) is so you dont get fed up and give up.

I did CD and got to target, switched to SW and stayed at target for 2weeks then derailed badly and ended up putting on a stone. I started CD again and again and again. I couldn't get through day 2 without bingeing as I was so hungry so switched to this diet. The week before I started JUDDD I wasn't on any of the diets.

No I'm not. I wouldn't say it's an easy day but you can get through it knowing the next day you can eat what you like keeps you going. Also on CD all other food is banned but on JUDDD you can have a snack if you want. If you wanted you could have e.g

B: Shake (110) If I remember rightly?
Snack: Apple (70)
L: Shake (110)
snack: Babybel light (40)
D: Shake (110)
Snack: mini chocolate twister ice cream (40)

So the total calories is only 480. :)

You just need to watch any milk in your drinks too.

Yes not sure what sort of food DC consists of, but as long as you're getting at least 2000 cals on an up day there wouldn't be a problem. Do you have DC stuff to use up? But the cambridge stuff is brill for down days, go for it this diet really is great! Let us know if you decide to start :)

Yes I only have green tea (as calorie free!) and water on my down days so I make sure I spot on on my cals for the day, save my regular tea with milk for up days :)

Stirky has hit the nail right on the head. If you are only having 1300 cals on an UD, you will not be having enough and you will a) be hungry and b) be at risk of metabolism slow-down.

I'd advise that you try it as read and then see if you need to modify if you're not losing after the first couple of weeks x
