Anyone any tips on how to get rid of them??? Heard of Bio Oil, but thats about it. Has anyone tried it and is it any good? Or is there anything else.

Am using the cocoa butter cream for firming skin, they also do a stretch mark one, but would quite like to carry on with the firming. Don't want to choose between firmer skin and stretch marks, want to get sort them both out!!

I havnt seen any on the market that do both together. Im using lapo stretch mark cream its very expensive thou been using it for more than 3 weeks and still not seeing any difference. Ill let you know if it starts making them better. you're meant to notice after 4 weeks.

i'm going to try bio-oil myself. it won't get rid of stretch marks but have only seen good reviews and is about £8 for a small bottle.

let us know how you get on whatever you choose!

Hey Liz

Ive used the bio-oil and found it wasnt for me. Any product containing cocoa butter will help keep skin firm and smooth and help fade stretch marks with continual use. Im only 20 but have stretch marks from when I was developing during my teens - ive been using for the last few months a product called 'shea butter' and its worked wonders on mine, you dont even know they are there unless close up!

if you do purchase some though make sure its the 'real' stuff and from a reputable supplier- its completely natural and free from chemicals, so its better gettting it in its raw state for its helaing properties. x

Here is what I know from my friend, she is qualified in permanent make up and she says that she can get rid of strech marks aswell. Also scars, wonky eyebrows and imperfections. If you do decide to give this a try then make sure you see their portfolio of clients they have done this for, the before and afters. Also if anyone wanted to know about permanent make up, then just pm me. I can get the info from her. She is cheaper too :D

I've used Bio Oil in the past; applied it obsessively the first time I did TFR & am still using it (though perhaps not as religiously as I should be...) this time around. However, it doesn't actually claim to get rid of stretch marks - just helps to prevent new ones & calms down the red/raised nature of new stretch marks.

I've looked into it extensively & I'm think it's just one of those things I have to live with, besides, the really old ones I have really aren't that bad - yes, you can see them, but they're silvery & no longer raised, so not too unsightly.

I'm going to be keeping an eye on this in case someone knows something exciting!

Thanks guys, will try and get some Bio Oil, or continue with the cocoa butter, just another punishment I think for letting ourselves get overweight, hopefully a reminder never to out it back on fingers crossed
